He added he felt \u201cobliged\u201d to attend so he didn\u2019t let the journalist down.<\/p>\n<p>In the statement Djokovic further denied he attended any other events while knowingly testing positive, which included a basketball game and children\u2019s tennis competition in Belgrade. He also branded other narratives as \u201cmisinformation\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>This positive PCR test, taken on the 16th of December, has however been revealed to be the reason why Djokovic was able to initially obtain a vaccine medical exemption to enter Australia.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Farage Backs Djokovic Against &#8216;Big, Bullying, Nasty Government&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PzRXiygNts\">https:\/\/t.co\/PzRXiygNts<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1479870276389195779?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Djokovic was detained and had his visa revoked by the Australian Border Force after he was initially denied entry into Australia for the Australian Open tennis competition, following the rejection of his medical vaccine exemption, on the 6th of January 2022.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday Australian Circuit Court Judge Anthony Kelly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/09\/free-to-play-australian-court-reinstates-tennis-star-novak-djokovics-visa\/\">ordered<\/a> Djokovic to be released from an enforced quarantine hotel in Melbourne, ruling that Djokovic\u2019s vaccine medical exemption \u2013 that being testing positive for coronavirus on the 16th of December \u2013 was valid.<\/p>\n<p>This however has not guaranteed that Djokovic can stay in Australia, and the Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has said he is considering cancelling his new visa due to incorrect information being supplied.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The second half of Djokovic\u2019s Instagram&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CYnO7cDqbdj\/?utm_medium=copy_link\">statement<\/a> focused on an error made on his travel declaration.
