The proposed Occupational Safety and Health Administration rule would require workers at businesses with 100 or more employees to either be tested for COVID-19 weekly or be fully vaccinated, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>When arguments concluded, social media users began <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lizamay\/posts\/10159838881988189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">claiming<\/a> that Gorsuch said \u201chundreds of thousands\u201d of people died from the flu. One Facebook post shared a screenshot of a tweet stating that Gorsuch was \u201chopelessly in an ignorant cult.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Gorsuch did not seem to say that \u201chundreds of thousands\u201d of people died from the flu. He can be heard saying \u201chundreds, thousands\u201d instead of \u201chundreds of thousands,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/oral_arguments\/audio\/2021\/21A244\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">audio<\/a> from the arguments posted on the Supreme Court\u2019s website. The comment can be heard roughly at the one-hour and 52-minute mark.<\/p>\n<p>The claim may have originated from the Supreme Court\u2019s official transcript originally quoting Gorsuch as saying \u201chundreds of thousands,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/589001-supreme-court-issues-revised-transcript-of-gorsuch-remark-about-flu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hill<\/a>. The Supreme Court later corrected the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/oral_arguments\/argument_transcripts\/2021\/21a244_7k47.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transcript<\/a> on page 121 to reflect that he actually said \u201chundreds, thousands\u201d instead, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court\u2019s Public Information Office confirmed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/justice-neil-gorsuch-slammed-after-he-suggests-flu-kills-hundreds-thousands-each-year-1667015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newsweek<\/a> that there was an error in the original transcript. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2018\/02\/18\/fact-check-would-reagan-and-scalia-have-supported-an-assault-weapons-ban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:&nbsp;Would Reagan And Scalia Have Supported An Assault Weapons Ban?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have vaccines against that \u2014 that, but the federal government through OSHA, so far as I know, and you can correct me, does not mandate every worker in the country to receive such a vaccine. We have flu vaccines.
