The Biden administration\u2019s proposed green jobs plan has<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/joebiden.com\/climate-labor-fact-sheet\/\"><span>promised<\/span><\/a> <span>to create more than 10 million \u201cwell-paying jobs in the United States,\u201d though no immediate legislation or executive order has been proposed to create such jobs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a tense exchange, Doocy asked the press secretary where these \u201cgreen jobs\u201d are and when unemployed Keystone XL Pipeline workers can expect to apply for them.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhen is it that the Biden administration is going to let the thousands of fossil fuel industry workers, whether it\u2019s pipeline workers or construction workers, who are either out of work or soon to be out of work because of a Biden [executive order], when it is and where it is that they can go for their green jobs?\u201d Doocey asked.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Psaki addressed Biden\u2019s climate<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/joebiden.com\/climate-labor-fact-sheet\/\"><span>proposal<\/span><\/a> <span>and said that the plan may be rolled out in the upcoming \u201cweeks or months.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPresident Biden has proposed a climate plan with transformative investments and infrastructure. And laid out a plan that would not only create millions of good union jobs but also help tackle the climate crisis,\u201d Psaki said. \u201c[The President] talked about his plans to also put forward a jobs plan in the weeks or months following.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fox News&#8217;s Peter Doocy is back and he&#8217;s brought the receipts on energy to Jen Psaki.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, she didn&#8217;t like that he pressed her on what&#8217;s the plan for laid off workers to get these fantastical &#8220;green&#8221; jobs that Biden and Kerry keep talking about (1\/2) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/czz45M9tXK\">pic.twitter.com\/czz45M9tXK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CurtisHouck\/status\/1358830482167848962?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Doocy proceeded to call out White House National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy and climate czar John Kerry for being absent from the White House following the Biden executive order that nixed the controversial pipeline.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut there are people living paycheck to paycheck,\u201d Doocy said. \u201cThere are people out of jobs once the Keystone pipeline stopped construction. It\u2019s been 12 days since Gina McCarthy and John Kerry were here. It\u2019s been 19 days since that [executive order], so what do those people who need money now \u2014 when do they get their green jobs?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Doocy\u2019s question comes on the heels of a Sunday interview with a top union leader who slammed Biden\u2019s job-killing order.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/top-union-leader-slams-bidens-job-killing-order-cost-us-jobs-needs-to-consider-future-of-country\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span>AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka slammed President Joe Biden during an interview that aired in part on Sunday over his executive order that canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline, which cost a lot of people their jobs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span>\u201cOrganized labor is crucial to the Biden coalition. But there are significant tensions among environmentalists, the president\u2019s team addressing climate change and some parts of the labor movement,\u201d Axios reported. \u201cThe Laborers\u2019 International Union of North America said the Keystone decision will cost 1,000 existing union jobs and 10,000 projected construction jobs.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span>\u201cWell, I wish he had not done that on the first day because the Labor\u2019s International was right, it did and will cost us jobs in the process,\u201d Trumka said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has also<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/manchin-on-biden-killing-keystone-pipeline-would-rather-we-get-oil-from-canada-than-venezuela\"><span>slammed<\/span><\/a> <span>Biden for the \u201cknee-jerk\u201d move of killing the Keystone XL Pipeline.
