While Biden did break former President Barack Obama\u2019s record for the most votes ever received by a U.S. presidential candidate when he earned over 81 million in the 2020 election, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/joe-biden-popular-vote-record-barack-obama-us-presidential-election-donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CBS News<\/a>, he does not have the lowest approval rating of all time. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/16\/fact-check-joe-biden-approval-rating-lower-donald-trump-ever\/?fbclid=IwAR3p0rOvZnF-SubJVw2Nj1i6i4g5EHyhNA7ku3yKMscE0doHKt-s8qagE8w\">(Related: Is Joe Biden\u2019s Recent 39% Approval Rating Lower Than Donald Trump\u2019s Ever Was?)<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Biden\u2019s approval rating recently hit 41 percent, according to an <\/span>NPR\/PBS NewsHour\/Marist&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/maristpoll.marist.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/NPR_PBS-NewsHour_Marist-Poll_Biden-Approval_USA-NOS-and-Tables_202112141149.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> released on Dec. 20, the lowest it has been throughout his presidency.<span> However, the same polling center found that former President Donald Trump left office in January 2021 with a 38 percent approval rating, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/01\/19\/957869001\/poll-most-americans-think-trump-will-be-remembered-as-a-subpar-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NPR<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Several other former presidents, including George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson and Harry Truman, have also had lower approval ratings than Biden, according to <span>Cornell University\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ropercenter.cornell.edu\/presidential-approval\/highslows\"><span>Roper Center<\/span><\/a><span>, which tracks the highest and lowest ratings for presidents dating back to the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Roper Center reports that George W. Bush received the lowest approval rating of all time with 19 percent in February 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Gallup\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/interactives\/185273\/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Presidential Job Approval Center<\/a>, which tracks Gallup\u2019s presidential approval ratings among presidents dating back to Truman, likewise shows Biden does not have the lowest approval rating of all time. Gallup\u2019s Approval Center places Biden\u2019s current approval rating at 43 percent and <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/interactives\/185273\/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a> that former presidents Trump, George W. Bush, George H.W.
