One in Guatemala was targeted in an attempted kidnapping.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese families have told us that they are now the subject of rumors in their communities as to the apparent wealth of family members in the U.S., that they have been subjected to surveillance by apparent criminal elements, and that they have been warned to be vigilant as criminal gangs are considering them the subjects of extortion,\u201d he wrote to Michelle Bran\u00e9, executive director of the Homeland Security Department\u2019s Family Reunification Task Force. \u201cAs a result of the (news) leaks, family members in the U.S., and those trapped in home country, now live in constant fear.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>His client repeated the same story:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Honduran woman said her 56-year-old mother has received [extortion] notes asking for $5,000 a month. The mother cares for the woman\u2019s other children, an 11-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter. (John Moore\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-55 Component-p-0-2-46\">&nbsp;President Joe Biden\u2019s deputies \u201care putting targets on people\u2019s backs in [the migrants\u2019] home countries,\u201d said Rob Law, the director of regulatory&nbsp;affairs for the Center for Immigration Studies. He continued:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Biden administration basically said \u201cCome here now,\u201d and that entices some populations to get into business with the cartels and the smugglers, and the coyotes and expose themselves to danger and exploitation on the journey up. And then knowing that people are here, and there are these talks of lucrative payouts \u2026 you\u2019re jeopardizing the remainder of the family [in the home country].<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s one or two, or entire family that comes [to the United States illegally], there\u2019s going to be more people back home, and they\u2019re all going to be interconnected, and then they\u2019re going to be targeted [by criminals] because of this [ACLU demand for payouts].<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Migration \u201cis a wealth extraction strategy,\u201d and the cartels\u2019 criminals want a share of any funds being offered by the U.S. government, Law added.<\/p>\n<p>The ACLU and its network of lawyers are demanding a payout of $450,000 for each of the families members who were divided when the migrants brought their kids across the border. border enforcement, and to extract large payments for themselves from friendly judges and administration officials.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, Joe\u2019s Biden\u2019s long-standing group of East Coast political advisors blocked the payouts once the public recoiled from the ACLU\u2019s demand for a $450,000 per-person payout \u2014 or $900,000 for every parent and child.<\/p>\n<p>But&nbsp;Biden\u2019s pro-migration officials at the Department of Homeland Security are suggesting they may cooperate with the would-be migrants and their lawyers:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-55 Component-p-0-2-46\">[Michelle] Bran\u00e9 [told the AP] she had not yet received any specific reports but the potential danger underscores the need for the task force to complete its work. \u201cIf families are in unsafe situations and need reunification, we are here to work and get that done as soon as possible,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Many&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/immigration-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polls show<\/a>&nbsp;that Americans strongly oppose labor migration and want to like immigrants and allow some immigration.<\/p>\n<p>But the&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/duckduckgo.com\/?q=site%3Abreitbart.com+neil+munro+lankford+Immigration&amp;atb=v302-1__&amp;ia=web\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">bipartisan<\/a>&nbsp;federal government has exploited the public\u2019s decency since 1990 to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/extraction-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extract tens of millions of migrants<\/a>&nbsp;from poor countries <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/20\/census-biden-drives-up-foreign-born-population-across-swing-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to boost U.S. businesses<\/a>&nbsp;as workers, consumers, and renters.<\/p>\n<p>That&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic strategy<\/a>&nbsp;is harmful to ordinary Americans: It cuts their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/12\/bloomberg-opts-h1bs-take-two-three-new-tech-jobs-each-year\/\"
