Florida Ave. at approximately 3:24 p.m., KDVR <a href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/news\/local\/23-year-old-bystander-rescues-2-kids-from-icy-pond-deputies-bring-third-child-back-to-life-with-cpr\/?fbclid=IwAR0bnjJjITMMVL1BX8weGevlPQFMzqlN3qZWnTW54oPiaqbpjtF88nI5rx4\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>That was the moment a person identified as 23-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DenverChannel\/posts\/10159093442438271\">Dusti Talavera<\/a>&nbsp;jumped into action and pulled a four-year-old girl and and 11-year-old boy out.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DenverChannel\/posts\/10159093442438271\" data-width=\"640\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/294814128270\/posts\/10159093442438271\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\">\n<p>Dusti Talavera said she knew she had to act immediately when she saw three children fall into an icy pond. She put on\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/294814128270\">Denver7<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/294814128270\/posts\/10159093442438271\/\">Monday, January 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cJust looking out my window saw a couple kids walking on the ice pond, a few seconds later, I just saw them fall in,\u201d Talavera recalled. \u201cBefore I even realized it, I was out there on the middle of the pond pulling two kids out. That\u2019s when I fell in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She attempted to help the third child, a six-year-old girl, but struggled to accomplish the task.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, a 16-year-old boy, who is cousin to the victim, went into the water to assist Talavera.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tried to hold her head up, I tried to hold my head up, the pond was really deep. A young man threw us a rope. He pulled us out,\u201d Talavera noted.<\/p>\n<p>According to deputies, Talavera said, \u201cShe wasn\u2019t concerned for her safety because they were babies and they needed help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the six-year-old was not breathing and had no pulse when deputies arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy David Rodriguez performed chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and assisting were Deputy Blaine Moulton along with Deputy Justin Dillard.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Video footage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PG4sPMj2Ous\">showed<\/a> first responders at the scene:<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Eventually, the South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) arrived and took over.<\/p>\n<p>The six-year-old was transported to Children\u2019s Hospital breathing and had regained a pulse. The child was listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Court Sutton of SMFR recalled, \u201cWe were back at the fire station, talking about how brave she was, how great the officers did \u2026 and gosh.
