Brian Kemp added stricter ID requirements to obtain an absentee ballot and limited ballot drop boxes. The laws also make it illegal to mass-mail absentee ballots to all voters.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>But Biden argued that Republicans were trying to block minorities from voting with the new laws.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoting by mail is a safe and convenient way to get more people to vote,\u201d Biden said. \u201cSo they are making it harder to vote by mail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden also defended ballot drop boxes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s safe, it\u2019s convenient, and you get more people to vote,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/11\/fact-check-joe-biden-lies-about-georgia-voting-law-in-speech-against-jim-crow-2-0\/\">falsely<\/a> claimed the new laws banned people from following the Bible because of new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/radio\/2021\/03\/29\/exclusive-gov-brian-kemp-georgia-law-cures-a-lot-of-the-problems-that-we-saw-in-the-last-election\">rules<\/a> preventing workers from giving food or water to people in voting lines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople get tired and they get hungry. The Bible teaches us to feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty. The new Georgia law actually makes it illegal \u2026 to bring your neighbors, your fellow voters food or water while they wait in line to vote,\u201d Biden claimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat in the hell, heck, are we talking about?\u201d Biden yelled. \u201cI mean think about it. That\u2019s not America. That\u2019s what it looks like when they suppress the right to vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president spoke angrily against Republican election integrity laws across the country, demanding the Senate end the filibuster rules and pass legislation to federalize elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo protect our democracy, I support changing the Senate rules,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen it comes to protecting majority rule in America, the majority should rule in the United States Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden called for widespread vote-by-mail and ballot drop boxes across the country, claiming that Republicans were \u201csubverting democracy\u201d with new voting integrity laws to block them.
