Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday told reporters he will run for the Republican Senate leadership position again after the 2022 midterms.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell\u2019s announcement comes as he is the longest-serving Republican Senate leader, first elected in 2006 and for eight consecutive times thereafter.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Under his tenure, the national debt has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebalance.com\/national-debt-by-year-compared-to-gdp-and-major-events-3306287\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grown<\/a>&nbsp;nearly 20 billion, illegal immigration has continued, and real wages for American workers have not risen since the 1970s.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Obamacare was enacted in 2010.
