And now, her tweets are drawing ire for being downright weird.<\/p>\n<p>The actress started trending on Twitter thanks to some surprising things she was saying. Witherspoon\u2019s almost 3 million followers couldn\u2019t help but react to her out-of-the-blue statement which <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ReeseW\/status\/1480953798013054976\">read<\/a>, \u201cIn the (near) future, every person will have a parallel digital identity. They simply said, \u201cREESE.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Another follower responded by saying, \u201cThis is more embarrassing for you than doing late night infomercials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Someone else said, \u201cBlink twice if Mark Zuckerberg is holding you hostage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though the \u201cCruel Intentions\u201d star didn\u2019t clarify her original comment, it does seem connected to Zuckerberg\u2019s push to make the metaverse a mainstream concept.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After renaming the company Meta in 2021, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/facebook-changes-company-name-to-meta-will-focus-on-bringing-the-metaverse-to-life\">shared a brief synopsis<\/a> of goals in a blog post. \u201cMeta\u2019s focus will be to bring the metaverse to life and help people connect, find communities and grow businesses,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe metaverse will feel like a hybrid of today\u2019s online social experiences, sometimes expanded into three dimensions or projected into the physical world. It will let you share immersive experiences with other people even when you can\u2019t be together \u2014 and do things together you couldn\u2019t do in the physical world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It continued, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s the next evolution in a long line of social technologies, and it\u2019s ushering in a new chapter for our company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Reese\u2019s apparent buy-in to Zuckerberg\u2019s new world wasn\u2019t her only controversial social media post of the week. The A-lister also got a lot of blowback after sharing her typical normal routine on Instagram, which many fans saw as unrealistic.<\/p>\n<p>Witherspoon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CYj1esyIAt-\/\">wrote<\/a>: \u201cLet\u2019s talk about habits! Are there any that have improved your daily life? Spend 30-60 mins reading daily without distraction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comments section was flooded with reactions both supporting and questioning the possibility of this type of routine. But by far the best comment of all came courtesy of celebrity chef and Food Network star Ina Garten, who countered with a daily routine suggestion of her own.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo quote @reesewitherspoon \u2013 that sounds great but I\u2019m probably not doing any of those things! LOL!! My formula is easier to follow: 1. Drink more large cosmos 2. Stay up late watching addictive streaming series, 3. Stay in bed in the morning playing Sudoku instead of reading a good book. 4. Spend more time (safely) with people you love.
