The actor was best known for his role as a single father on the hit sitcom \u201cFull House\u201d in the early 90s, plus his turn hosting the popular clip show \u201cAmerica\u2019s Funniest Home Videos.\u201d Saget\u2019s brand of humor always seemed benign, silly, and wholesome.<\/p>\n<p>But those who knew the comedian best understood that Saget\u2019s true self was a bit raunchier and edgier than his Danny Tanner persona. For anyone listening hard enough, the actor revealed his true thoughts plenty of times.<\/p>\n<p>Actress Suzanne Sommers <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/01\/10\/suzanne-somers-recalls-two-sides-of-bob-saget\/\">told<\/a> Page Six that there were \u201ctwo sides\u201d to Saget.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne was the dad good guy always doing [the right thing], and the other was one step beyond Richard Pryor,\u201d the \u201cThree\u2019s Company\u201d star revealed. Like the rest of Hollywood, Somers expressed shock and sorrow to learn of Saget\u2019s untimely death. \u201cHe was so young,\u201d the 75-year-old star mused.<\/p>\n<p>Lifelong fans were surprised when Saget played a \u201cwashed-up, hooker-loving womanizer living in a one-bedroom apartment\u201d during a 2004 appearance on the HBO comedy \u201cEntourage.\u201d The show\u2019s creator Doug Ellin <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/01\/10\/bob-sagets-jokes-about-drugs-and-sex-were-rooted-in-tragedy\/\">told<\/a> the New York Post even he was surprised with how far Saget was willing to take the character.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had lunch and he said, \u2018I\u2019ll do anything you say except for play broke. Hookers or drugs? Yeah, that\u2019s fine. But I don\u2019t want to be broke.\u2019 There was no sensitivity to anything else, but being successful was important to him,\u201d Ellin told the Post. He also called the actor, \u201cgracious, sweet and incredibly smart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The most telling example of Saget\u2019s dirty sense of humor was immortalized in the 2005 documentary film, \u201cThe Aristocrats.\u201d The movie includes a slew of famous comedians telling the popular joke by the same name. Though the details vary, the joke always starts with a father walking into a talent agent studio and pitching his family\u2019s act. Then the comedian ad libs the details, which always include lewd, macabre details from incest to murder. The punchline is, \u201cThe Aristocrats,\u201d in response to the question, \u201cWhat do you call your act?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saget\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/BHeZS3mGDKY\">version<\/a> of The Aristocrats joke has been making the rounds on social media. It includes diarrhea, pedophilia, fisting, and the whole family singing \u201cMake \u2018Em Laugh\u201d at the end. While telling it for the documentary, the comedian keeps losing composure and laughing.<\/p>\n<p>At one point he says, \u201cWhat the f*** am I doing?\u201d and then says, \u201cCan I get a copy of this? I\u2019d like to send it to the kids on Full House.\u201d For some followers, hearing Saget tell such an off-color joke is jarring. But apparently this version of the comedian is closer to his true self than they realized.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember when \u2018The Aristocrats\u2019 came out \u2014 people couldn\u2019t believe Bob Saget was talking that way,\u201d Saget\u2019s friend Gilbert Gottfried told the Post. \u201cBut for the people who knew him, you can\u2019t believe he talked any other way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saget was discovered dead in his Florida hotel room on January 9.
