Joni Ernst (R-IA) remarked on Monday\u2019s edition of the <em>Breitbart Daily News<\/em> podcast with host Alex Marlow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t see a link between January 6 and the so-called \u2018voting rights\u2019 bill,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s just not there, they\u2019re using any excuse they can to try and ram through a really, really horrible agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Democrats are \u201cbringing forward these bills under the guise of voting rights,\u201d Ernst held. \u201cT<span>his is not about voting rights. This is a transparent play to the rest of us that they are trying to gather permanent political power.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She added, \u201cWhat we want to do is make it easier to vote, but harder to cheat, and these Washington Democrats basically want to take over our elections. \u2026 T<\/span><span>he Democrats\u2019 proposed bill would eliminate popular voter-ID requirements at the polls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cIt would also put those Washington, DC, bureaucrats in charge of America\u2019s local and state-run elections systems, and we know how efficient and fair our federal government is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ernst emphasized, \u201c[This] is not about voting rights, but about federalizing our local and state elections.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ernst warned that Democrats\u2019 \u201cvoting rights\u201d legislation includes a de facto employment program for political operatives.<\/p>\n<p>She explained, \u201cIt basically is creating a federal jobs program for political consultants and pollsters.
