The policy allows Americans to either acquire free testing kits through their insurers, or present receipts for tests to their insurers for reimbursement. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/05\/joe-biden-msnbc-eric-garcia-covid-19-coronavirus-eugenics-cdc-people-disabled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Journalist Who Works For MSNBC, The Independent Likens Biden\u2019s COVID-19 Approach To Eugenics)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-55 Component-p-0-2-46\">\u201cThis is all part of our overall strategy to ramp up access to easy-to-use, at-home tests at no cost,\u201d Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a Monday statement. \u201cBy requiring private health plans to cover people\u2019s at-home tests, we are further expanding Americans\u2019 ability to get tests for free when they need them.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7343574\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7343574\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Pres. Reporters <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/10\/peter-doocy-jen-psaki-covid-19-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">questioned<\/a> White House press secretary Jen Psaki on why the administration has taken so long to ramp up testing during a Monday briefing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere has been a massive surge in cases \u2026 there has been an unprecedented demand for tests. So what we have done over the course of the last few weeks, even before that, is the president quadrupled our testing capacity since this summer, we opened 20,000 sites across the country, and we have also opened additional federal sites, including one in D.C. only recently,\u201d Psaki said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you look to a year ago, there were no tests, or maybe one depending on the timeline, that was available on the market. Now we have nine. If you look to about a year ago, there was about 900,000 or maybe slightly higher tests that were being issued every day. Now we\u2019re at about 10 or 11 million. 300 million tests are done in this country every month. So there\u2019s enormous progress being made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden himself <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/28\/joe-biden-clearly-not-enough-covid-19-testing-available\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">admitted<\/a> Dec. 28 that there is \u201cclearly not enough\u201d COVID-19 testing available in the U.S. Residents in states across the country have resorted to waiting in hours-long lines to acquire tests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe went from no over-the-counter tests in January to 36 million in October, 100 million in November and almost 200 million in December,\u201d Biden said at the time. \u201cBut it\u2019s not enough.
