The rule requires toddlers \u2014 or everyone over two years old, to wear \u201cwell-fitting masks\u201d in indoor public areas. This is regardless of vaccination status. The rule went into effect Saturday and will last until February 7, 2022.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Rob Joseph, who owns \u201cseveral clubs and bars,\u201d spoke out sharply against the mandate, concluding that the public health order \u201csmells more of political grandstanding than trying to address the issue of health.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an owner of several bars and clubs: This mask mandate is nothing more than a 11th hour political stunt,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc4.com\/news\/top-stories\/salt-lake-county-bar-owner-speaks-out-against-30-day-mask-mandate\/\">said<\/a> in a statement, according to ABC4.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bar owner, Rob Joseph, is the owner or several clubs and bars and calls the mask mandate a \u2018political stunt\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/EBubdF4hM2\">https:\/\/t.co\/EBubdF4hM2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ABC4 News (@abc4utah) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abc4utah\/status\/1479905934931542028?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIf they truly are concerned about health issues they would\u2019ve given advance notice of a pending mandate allowing businesses to prepare.
