Bush was an illegitimate president and stole the 2000 election from Al Gore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI worked for Gore 2000 &amp; believe W\u2019s 1st term to have been illegitimate,\u201d Simmons&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JamalSimmons\/status\/213731431283830786?s=20\">alleged<\/a> in 2012.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>In 2017,&nbsp;Simmons again admitted he believed Bush was an illegitimate president. \u201cI worked for Gore. John McCain (Mark Wilson\/Getty Images).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Simmons was announced last week to replace Ashley Etienne as communications director amid establishment media&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/07\/02\/harris-mistreatment-employees-dissent-white-house-infighting\/\">reports<\/a> of employee mistreatment,&nbsp;sabotage,&nbsp;and&nbsp;\u201cshitshow\u201d operations within Harris\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Simmons\u2019 unfounded claims that Bush stole the election come as Harris&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/full-transcript-biden-harris-speak-capitol-hill-jan\/story?id=82110360\">denied<\/a>&nbsp;during her Thursday, January 6 festivities speech&nbsp;that Biden stole the election from former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot let our future be decided by those bent on silencing our voices, overturning our votes and peddling lies and misinformation, by some radical faction that may be newly resurgent, but whose roots run old and deep,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n<p>Bush won both the initial vote count and a recount in Florida.
