The former Disney Channel star showed off the new ink following a reported rehab stint, which was mostly kept quiet in the media. These changes come just after the celebrity made headlines for a multitude of reasons, from coming out as non-binary to a previous dramatic haircut.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lovato showed off the latest tattoo \u2013 which is one of many \u2013 in a string of Instagram <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-10382841\/Demi-Lovato-gets-large-black-spider-tattoo-head-completing-rehab.html\">stories<\/a> over the weekend. The 29-year-old singer selected a large spider image as skull adornment, which was clearly visible now that Lovato has a shaved head.<\/p>\n<p>In the Instagram video, Demi gave artistic credit to celebrity favorite tattoo artist Dr. Woo and wrote \u201cNow @alchestamber come fix my hair pleeeese,\u201d with crying laughing emojis. The video included the time-stamp \u201cSaturday 3:10 PM.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Woo is also responsible for at least one of Lovato\u2019s other tattoos. The singer previously showed off a hand tat that included the lyrics to the Beautiful Chorus song \u201cInfinite Universe.\u201d Lovato\u2019s hand has the line, \u201cLove will live forever in the infinite universe\u201d inscribed there forever.<\/p>\n<p>Besides new ink, Lovato is reportedly back from a recent stay in a rehab facility. The singer nearly overdosed three years ago and has since admitted to staying \u201cCalifornia sober,\u201d which means indulging in alcohol and marijuana but nothing else. However, Lovato shared with fans that going completely sober is the only logical option going forward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI no longer support my \u2018California sober\u2019 ways,\u201d Lovato shared in an Instagram Story in December, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/01\/08\/demi-lovato-completes-another-rehab-stint-3-years-after-overdose\/?_ga=2.204603024.1459844043.1641210286-531561680.1620127848\">Page Six<\/a>. \u201cSober sober is the only way to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rehab rumors came from a source, plus a video of Lovato\u2019s sister reuniting with her sibling just before Christmas. \u201cWhen you get exactly what you wished for on Christmas\u2026 your sister,\u201d Dallas, 33, wrote over the video clip in December.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Disney alum explained the rationale for being California sober in the past.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve learned that shutting the door on things makes me want to open the door even more,\u201d Lovato explained in the documentary \u201cDancing With the Devil.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve learned that it doesn\u2019t work for me to say, \u2018I\u2019m never going to do this again.\u2019 I\u2019ve really struggled with this. I know I\u2019m done with the stuff that\u2019s going to kill me. But I wish that I could get some relief, maybe through weed or something. And telling myself that I can never have a drink or smoke marijuana, I feel like that\u2019s setting myself up for failure, because I am such a black and white thinker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lovato rationalized living California sober at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had had it drilled into my head for so many years that one drink was equivalent to a crack pipe.
