I have not had a vaccination, I do not want to have a vaccination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vaccines are reducing transmission only for about eight weeks for Delta, with Omicron&nbsp;it\u2019s probably less,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p3\">\u201cAnd for that, I would be dismissed if I don\u2019t have a vaccine? The science isn\u2019t strong enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Sajid Javid initially said \u201cthat\u2019s your view\u201d and turned to other medical staff urging them to volunteer theirs, but after more silence from them he replied to James saying: \u201cI respect that but there\u2019s also many professionals with different views.&nbsp;&nbsp;I understand it, and obviously we have to weigh all that up for both health and social care, and there will always be a debate about it\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">James replied: \u201cMaybe there\u2019s a chance to reconsider with Omicron and the changing picture or at least a nuance to allow doctors who\u2019ve had antibody exposure, who\u2019ve got antibodies [but] haven\u2019t had the vaccination to not have [to be vaccinated]. Because the protection I\u2019ve got from transmission is probably equivalent to someone who\u2019s vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Javid ended the discussion testily, despite having been the one to initiate the discussion, saying the government takes \u201cthe very best advice\u201d from \u201cthe people who are vaccine experts\u201d in a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/covid-19-sajid-javid-directly-challenged-on-mandatory-coronavirus-jabs-by-unvaccinated-nhs-doctor-12511224\">clip<\/a> aired by Sky News.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WOW.
