Now, it has retaken top place.<\/p>\n<p>California\u2019s net loss was not as bad as in 2020, but U-Haul <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/Articles\/About\/U-Haul-Growth-Index-Texas-Is-The-No-1-Growth-State-Of-2021-26380\/\">said<\/a> that was partly because the company&nbsp;\u201csimply ran out of inventory to meet customer demand for outbound equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>U-Haul noted in a recent press release:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Texas\u2019s growth is statewide, although some of its biggest gains occurred in the suburbs around the DFW Metroplex. Florida\u2019s gains are equally widespread, with considerable growth south of Orlando and along both coastlines.&nbsp;Overall moving traffic across Texas increased in 2021, as it did in most states. Arrivals of one-way U-Haul trucks jumped 19% while departures rose 18% over 2020. Arrivals made up 50.2% of all one-way U-Haul traffic last year in Texas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe Texas economy is growing fast,\u201d Kristina Ramos, U-Haul Company of South Austin president, commented. \u201cWith a strong job market and low cost of living, it\u2019s a no brainer. Texas doesn\u2019t have an income tax, so families get more for their money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blue states that have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/23\/census-americans-flee-left-wing-lockdown-states-for-open-red-states\/\">imposed<\/a> mask mandates, vaccine requirements, and lockdowns in the past year lost population to red states that nixed such policies, Breitbart News reported December 23.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNewly released data from the United States Census Bureau reveals that while blue states like California and New York have increasingly lost population from July 2020 to July 2021, red states such as Texas and Florida have seen population increases,\u201d the article read.<\/p>\n<p>In a social media post on Thursday, Texas Gov.
