I\u2019ve been in jail all my life, I can do that standing on my head, it\u2019s not teaching me anything, I can get more drugs in there than I can out here. Hopefully the DA will see that I did not do all these crimes that they are accusing me of and they will get dismissed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>On November 24, Wold was arrested for allegedly burglarizing two Manhattan businesses and stealing cash registers, according to the <i>Post, <\/i>which cited&nbsp;court documents and law enforcement sources. He was arraigned the following day, and a judge set him free as<\/span><span>&nbsp;\u201cthe felony burglary charges&nbsp;weren\u2019t eligible for cash bail,\u201d said the outlet.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Days later, on November 29, surveillance footage captured a person who appeared to be the 58-year-old Wold burglarizing the Park Slope\u2019s Hipster Deli Grocery, where prosecutors say he stole a cash register.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cIt\u2019s a headache, then the customers come in the next day, we don\u2019t have money, we don\u2019t have machine,\u201d said the deli\u2019s owner, Hazim Annisafee.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Annisafee said he lost between $400-$600 in the stolen cash register, and on top of that had to spend another $1,400 between purchasing a new register and repairing the door.<\/p>\n<p><span>Court records show Wold allegedly hit four other businesses throughout the next week and a half, according to the <em>Post<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>From the <em>Post<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On Dec. 1, Wold is accused of stealing five electric scooters, a bike and two Macbook Airs from Fridge No More in Gowanus and on Dec. 5, he allegedly broke into Artisan Barber Shop in Park Slope and stole their cash register, court documents say.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guy keeps going in and out, I think it\u2019s wrong\u2026 They should give him time, leave him more in the jail so he understands more maybe,\u201d said Rron Dulatahu, a barber and manager at the shop.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The 58-year-old criminal told the <em>Post<\/em> that he had conducted some burglaries but said he is not responsible for all the accusations he faces.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span> \u201cI might\u2019ve did one or two of \u2019em but that was in the beginning of the summer,\u201d he declared. \u201cI didn\u2019t do all of them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said a doppelganger is behind the latest string of robberies.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhoever\u2019s doing it has glasses and a bald head and he looks just like me,\u201d he asserted.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>He also blamed his criminal past on his opioid addiction.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cPeople need to understand what addiction is, I don\u2019t want to do crime, I don\u2019t want to hurt people, I don\u2019t want to steal from people,\u201d Wold told the Post before expressing remorse for his actions.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cI really feel really, really bad about my situation and some of the people I have hurt\u2026 If I did it, I apologize,\u201d he added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Wold is also suspected of multiple unsolved burglaries in Mayor Bill de Blasio\u2019s Park Slope neighborhood, said Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District Executive Director Mark&nbsp;<\/span><span>Caserta.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cWe\u2019ve seen many of our businesses are suffering from the Omicron strain and to have someone breaking into storefronts and taking money and breaking property is just an insult during a very difficult time,\u201d he told the Post.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>New York City criminals have repeatedly taken advantage of the state\u2019s bail reform laws.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last year, 22-year-old Isaac Rodriguez was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2021\/10\/03\/22-year-old-nyc-man-arrested-46-times-year-retail-thefts\/\">arrested<\/a> at least 57 times, including 46 for retail thefts and one for an alleged stabbing, Breitbart News reported.
