Russell Fry (R) told&nbsp;<em>Breitbart News Saturday<\/em> that U.S. Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC) enabled the progressive left by focusing his energy on the impeachment of former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Fry spoke to&nbsp;<em>Breitbart News Saturday<\/em> as the South Carolina state representative hopes to unseat Rice, who was one of the ten House Republicans to vote to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/14\/9-10-house-republicans-who-voted-impeach-trump-draw-primary-challengers\/\">impeach<\/a>&nbsp;Trump for the events surrounding the January 6 protests.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Rice\u2019s vote to impeach Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/01\/31\/south-carolina-gop-censures-rep-tom-rice-we-wholeheartedly-disagree-with-impeachment-vote\/\">engendered<\/a> such controversy in the South Carolina Republican Party that the state GOP voted to formally censure Rice, saying that its members \u201cwholeheartedly disagree\u201d with his vote to impeach the former president.<\/p>\n<p>Fry said South Carolinians were \u201cstunned\u201d to learn of Rice\u2019s vote to impeach Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the quickest most factually bereft impeachment in American history,\u201d he told&nbsp;<em>Breitbart News Saturday<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Fry said that Rice voted \u201cagainst the will\u201d of his constituents. He said in contrast, that South Carolinians want \u201csomebody who has our values, who is part of the solution, who\u2019s in the arena and willing to take up the fight against these Democrats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The state representative said people support Trump\u2019s America First agenda and they want an \u201cAmerica First candidate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further, Rice\u2019s opposition to Trump has only enabled the progressive left and distracted the country from focusing on critical issues such as the opioid epidemic and the open southern border.<\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cOur congressman is enabling the progressive left to be to do these sort of things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Breitbart News Saturday airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
