But after closely reviewing the federal OSHA Vaccine Mandate, Iowa has determined it will not adopt the federal standard. Iowa has concluded that it is not necessary because Iowa\u2019s existing standards are at least as effective as the federal standard change.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In response to Roberts\u2019 move, Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) issued a statement in which she commended his decision:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to continue to protect the freedoms and liberties of Iowans. The Biden Administration continues to ignore the constitutional rights afforded to all Americans, which our country was built on,\u201d Reynolds noted.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cInstead, they\u2019d rather dictate health care decisions and eliminate personal choice, causing our businesses and employees to suffer and exacerbating our workforce shortage,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I applaud Commissioner Roberts\u2019 decision! Kim Reynolds (@IAGovernor) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IAGovernor\/status\/1479638485753597958?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In December, the Supreme Court announced&nbsp;it would hear oral arguments in appeals against Biden\u2019s vaccine mandates for businesses with 100 or more employees and for healthcare workers.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/22\/supreme-court-hear-challenges-biden-osha-healthcare-worker-vaccine-mandates\/\">explained<\/a> the Biden administration\u2019s attempt to force the vaccination on large numbers of American workers. \u201cOut of Biden\u2019s five federal coronavirus vaccine mandates, the mandate for large businesses, issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), is the largest and impacts 84 million workers. Biden\u2019s&nbsp;Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) mandate for healthcare workers covers approximately 10.4 million people with an additional 2.7 million individuals who will be covered once hired. The OSHA mandate allows for a testing option for unvaccinated employees, whereas healthcare workers can either qualify for a religious or medical exemption or face firing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During an interview Friday on Fox News Channel\u2019s <em>America\u2019s Newsroom<\/em>, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R) asserted the Biden administration\u2019s logic in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2022\/01\/07\/brnovich-if-vax-mandate-stands-well-never-get-that-power-back-from-feds-they-could-have-diet-rules-next\/\">defending<\/a> the vaccine mandate is they \u201ccan literally threaten every single person\u2019s livelihood in this country if they don\u2019t kowtow to the dictates of the federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iowa\u2019s labor commissioner has announced the state will not enforce the Biden administration\u2019s vaccine mandate meant for businesses with 100 workers or more.
