It is considered a symbol of multi-racial unity.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>According to South African news website IOL, De Kock <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iol.co.za\/sport\/cricket\/proteas\/confirmed-quinton-de-kock-withdraws-from-proteas-t20-world-cup-match-over-having-to-take-the-knee-e12ada65-28df-47db-8e1f-75461426d78f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">refused<\/a> to divulge his reasons to the press, but was apparently upset at the new policy. He had been the only member of the team to stand for the anthem on a recent tour of the West Indies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Former cricket great Shaun Pollock <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crictracker.com\/it-might-not-be-the-end-of-the-saga-shaun-pollock-expects-quinton-de-kocks-return-in-longest-format\/\">said<\/a> he expects De Kock might return, once the restrictions of the coronavirus are over.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
