Jim Jordan (R-OH) argued House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (R-OH) was \u201cafraid\u201d of getting to the bottom of the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots, noting she was excluding communication between herself and the sergeant-at-arms in the January 6 committee\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed to him and Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) having their appointments to the committee rejected by Pelosi.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI think that\u2019s why we were kicked off because we got \u2014 Jim and I were raising that question, and then we found out that, you know, she wasn\u2019t going to let us serve on the committee,\u201d he said. \u201cFirst time in American history, frankly, Sean, first time this has ever happened. And I think she\u2019s afraid of getting to the truth. Why is it the sergeant of arms \u2014 sergeant-at-arms office will not \u2014 Nancy Pelosi will not let them release the communications and documents that surround this whole decision? Why is that? They won\u2019t release the information.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSo, yeah, we got conflicting testimony between the Capitol Hill police who said \u2014 the police chief said he requested the National Guard be there on January 6,\u201d Jordan continued. \u201cSergeant-at-arms says, no, you didn\u2019t \u2014 conflicting testimony. So, one guy says we asked for it. One guy says we did it. The guy who didn\u2019t is the one who answers directly to the speaker\u2019s office, and she \u2014 that office will not release the communications between the speaker\u2019s office and the sergeant-at-arms and other communications the sergeant-at-arms have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we know that\u2019s the reason why Jim and I weren\u2019t allowed to be on the committee,\u201d he added. \u201cWe asked that question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Follow Jeff Poor on Twitter <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/jeff_poor\">@jeff_poor<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, Rep.
