Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lecturn-joe-biden-capitol-640x335-1.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">The White House defied President Joe Biden\u2019s medical advisers on the coronavirus pandemic, vowing the president would continue working to end the virus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President\u2019s ultimate goal continues to be to defeat the virus,\u201d White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday in response to opinion articles authored by members of Biden\u2019s advisory board during his presidential transition.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Six of Biden\u2019s former advisors published three opinion articles in <em>The Journal of the American Medical Association<\/em>, calling on the president to shift his strategy of fighting the coronavirus to recognize the reality of living with coronavirus instead of trying to eliminate it entirely.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Even the Establishment Media is blasting Joe Biden for his \u201cmission accomplished\u201d moment declaring victory over the Chinese coronavirus. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OyeYZ23oNO\">https:\/\/t.co\/OyeYZ23oNO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1422396546293936153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Psaki told reporters she had not seen the opinion pieces because of the \u201cbusy day\u201d staff experienced on the first anniversary of the January 6 protests of the 2020 election on Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The<em> New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/01\/06\/us\/politics\/former-biden-advisers-pandemic-strategy.html\">reports<\/a> the group of advisers shared their articles with the White House and published them in the medical journal after their advice was ignored.<\/p>\n<p>The group was coordinated by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a former President Barack Obama adviser as well as former acting chief scientist at the Food and Drug Administration Dr. Luciana Borio, former head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Dr. David Michael.<\/p>\n<p>Emanuel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/health\/2022\/01\/06\/biden-advisers-new-covid-strategy\/\">told<\/a>&nbsp;the<em> Washington Post<\/em> he wanted to move beyond living in \u201ca perpetual state of emergency,\u201d and realize the \u201cnew normal\u201d of living with the virus and reducing it\u2019s risks to the vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>The group also recommended stronger vaccination efforts, including a vaccine mandate for schoolchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Biden spent the first year of his presidency focusing intently on promoting vaccines and ultimately leveling mandates which he argued were necessary to \u201cshut down\u201d the virus \u201cstop the spread.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The U.S. death toll from the Chinese coronavirus under Joe Biden\u2019s administration will soon surpass the death toll recorded during Donald Trump\u2019s administration, and in less time. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RpGCwSW2Ha\">https:\/\/t.co\/RpGCwSW2Ha<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1464377597152927746?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But new variants of the virus continue to spread rapidly, including the omicron variant, which continues to infect even Americans who have three shots of the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Biden began the new year with coronavirus cases setting new records, a widespread testing shortage, a shortage of monoclonal antibodies, and a sluggish release of a coronavirus antiviral pill to treat the virus.<\/p>\n<p>In remarks on Tuesday, Biden urged all Americans to get vaccinated telling them there was \u201cno excuse for anyone being unvaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFolks, I know we\u2019re all tired and frustrated about the pandemic.
