A Fox spokesperson denied the rumor.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The animated comedy sitcom \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hulu.com\/series\/king-of-the-hill-52b8dd8a-eff2-4ed2-9b8d-7c0039df1c53\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">King of the Hill<\/a>,\u201d which chronicles the life of a blue-collar Texan man named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hulu.com\/series\/king-of-the-hill-52b8dd8a-eff2-4ed2-9b8d-7c0039df1c53\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hank Hill<\/a>, aired on Fox for 13 seasons between 1997 to 2010, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0118375\/episodes?season=13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IMDb<\/a>. Now, a post shared on Facebook claims Fox announced the series is returning to television for a new season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFox just announced a King Of The Hill reboot with an all new season and episodes with the characters older[sic] coming out March 19th,\u201d reads the Facebook post, which includes an image of six characters from the show. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/22\/fact-check-walt-disney-body-thawed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/22\/fact-check-walt-disney-body-thawed\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1641586877954000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2H2MK2NiDUbv5KBFWztohc\">(RELATED: Is Walt Disney\u2019s Frozen Body Set To Be Thawed In 2021?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The claim, however, appears to be nothing more than a rumor.&nbsp;Check Your Fact searched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxcorporation.com\/news\/press-releases\/?news_search%5Bafter%5D=&amp;news_search%5Bbefore%5D=&amp;news_search%5Bcategory%5D=0&amp;news_search%5Bbusiness%5D=&amp;news_search%5Bkeyword%5D=King+of+the+Hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thewaltdisneycompany.com\/press-releases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">releases<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%22King%20of%20the%20Hill%22%20(from%3AFOXTV)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100044027653884\/search\/?q=King%20of%20the%20Hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts<\/a> from Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/page\/11784025953\/search\/?q=King%20of%20the%20Hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">and<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%22King%20of%20the%20Hill%22%20(from%3ADisney)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Disney<\/a>, which secured the rights to \u201cKing of the Hill\u201d in its 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/2017\/12\/14\/16778224\/disney-fox-deal-movies-tv-rights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">acquisition<\/a> of 21st Century Fox, but found no mention of the show being brought back. There is likewise no announcement about a new season on the show\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KingOfTheHillTV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no plans to revive King of The Hill on FOX,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/leseisner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Les Eisner<\/a>, a Fox spokesperson, in an email to Check Your Fact. Chris Alexander, a spokesperson for Disney, also confirmed the claim is false in an email to Check Your Fact.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that Fox did have \u201cpreliminary talks\u201d with the show\u2019s creators, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0431918\/?ref_=tt_ov_wr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Judge<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0199948\/?ref_=tt_ov_wr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Greg Daniels<\/a>, about a reboot in 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/08\/08\/entertainment\/king-of-the-hill-return-fox\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a> reported.
