The distinct brand that NASCAR brings to the chamber validates their commitment to equality and non-discrimination both on and off the track. It is an honor to name the league our \u2018DE&amp;I Partner\u2019 for 2022, and I look forward to developing this amazing relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes one day after NASCAR announced that the sponsorship between driver Brandon Brown and&nbsp;the cryptocurrency coin LGBcoin had been rejected.<\/p>\n<p>LGBcoin \u2014 named after the now-famous chant of \u201cLet\u2019s Go Brandon\u201d \u2014 first announced their deal with Brown on December 30, with Brown announcing the partnership on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019m excited to welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LGBcoin_io?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LGBcoin_io<\/a> aboard my No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro as our 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series full season primary partner!<\/p>\n<p>Press release: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yWfkonk8vO\">https:\/\/t.co\/yWfkonk8vO<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/s8PkfCtnVD\">pic.twitter.com\/s8PkfCtnVD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brandon Brown (@brandonbrown_68) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brandonbrown_68\/status\/1476574258801348611?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 30, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following the official announcement, NASCAR told Brandonbilt Motorsports that they needed to review the sponsorship at \u201cat a higher level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the announcement went live on Thursday morning, NASCAR acknowledged to us late that afternoon that we had received approval but that they now needed to discuss this at a higher level,\u201d Brown\u2019s spokesman Maxwell Marcucci <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/shifting-gears-nascar-gives-conflicting-statements-on-brandon-brown-lets-go-brandon-sponsorship\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Marcucci expressed disappointment with NASCAR for deciding against allowing the partnership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNASCAR did not speak with Brandonbilt Motorsports prior to making their decision to rescind the approval and multiple attempts to set up a conversation to address this matter went unacknowledged,\u201d Marcucci <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/01\/05\/sport\/nascar-brandon-brown-lgbcoin\/index.html\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bottom line is that Brandonbilt Motorsports followed the standard process for sponsor and paint scheme approval and received approval from a NASCAR official empowered to make those decisions, and who makes those decisions on a regular basis. This official then confirmed and reiterated that we had received approval in a phone conversation after the announcement was made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are disappointed that NASCAR leadership has chosen to rescind approval of this sponsorship and feel they should have the confidence to own their decision to backtrack and not gaslight a team or a driver,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Morgan is the Sports Reporter for The Daily Wire.
