They have failed on their own terms and have damaged society in the process,\u201d DeSantis said on Wednesday in a social media post of a video of remarks he gave at a press conference this week.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"css-901oao r-18jsvk2 r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-16dba41 r-rjixqe r-bcqeeo r-bnwqim r-qvutc0\" dir=\"auto\" lang=\"en\">\n<p>\u201cHow big of a failure have vaccine passports been? If vaccine passports succeeded, you would not see a lot of this stuff that you\u2019re seeing in a lot of states that implemented them,\u201d he said. Notably, New York, which includes New York City \u2014 &nbsp;home of some of the most coercive mandates in the country \u2014 is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2021\/us\/covid-cases.html\">leading<\/a> the U.S. in daily average of coronavirus cases per capita.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll it served to do was discriminate against people based on an individual choice, create a two-tiered society and yes they are moving \u2026 to update to say, in some parts, they\u2019re going to say you need a third shot to be able to do.
