You\u2019re going to be fine here. It\u2019s the unvaccinated who are going to be hurt so why should anyone who is boosted bother at this point to do anything that makes the unvaccinated more safe?\u201d CNN\u2019s&nbsp;John Berman asked.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI want us to act as a community. I want us to act as a team. We\u2019re fighting a war and need all hands on deck. I don\u2019t want to reject those who still haven\u2019t done the right thing. I\u2019ll condemn them. I\u2019ll shame them. I\u2019ll blame them, but I don\u2019t want to exclude them,\u201d Caplan replied, before detailing his desire to \u201cpenalize\u201d unvaccinated Americans and implement more coercive tactics to corner them into getting the shot.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Caplan continued (emphasis added):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>They\u2019ve got to come around. Were not going to win this war \u2014 we\u2019re going to be talking about COVID this time next year if we don\u2019t get more people to do the right thing. So we can\u2019t write them off. <strong>We can penalize them more. We can say you will have to pay more on your hospital bill. You can\u2019t get life insurance or disability insurance at affordable rates if you aren\u2019t vaccinated. Those companies should not treat us as equals in terms of what the financial burdens are that that disease imposes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">Berman responded by scolding unvaccinated&nbsp;individuals,&nbsp;contending, \u201c<\/span>It\u2019s the unvaccinated who aren\u2019t wearing masks. It\u2019s the unvaccinated who aren\u2019t social distancing.
