He owns Little Woodfords, a coffee shop that successfully operated in Woodfords Corner for almost three years, gaining lots of love and recognition locally and nationally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It added, \u201cHe recently moved the shop to Downtown Portland after the rent was increased beyond what a small business could afford during the COVID19 global pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among his campaign priorities was to \u201ccommit my candidacy to inclusion and diversity, excluding no one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2020\/10\/07\/two-vie-for-the-district-4-seat-on-the-portland-city-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Press Herald<\/a> article during his run for the city council in 2020 highlighted his candidacy against Rosemary Mahoney:<\/p>\n<p><em>Both support the Black Lives Matter movement, including calls to defund the police and address systemic racism. Both believe that local police forces should be demilitarized and more funding and attention should be used to address underlying issues such as homelessness, substance use disorder and mental illness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Zarro ran on a platform of \u201ckindness and compassion\u201d in his 2020 run, as the report also noted:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m bringing some new ideas and perspective,\u201d Zarro said, adding \u201cand just a little kindness and compassion, which is heavily in need at the moment and meeting people where they\u2019re at and saying at the end of the day, \u2018We can disagree, but we\u2019re still going to bump into each other at Hannaford and we need to be nice to each other.\u2019 \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the controversial stickers, Zarro\u2019s Little Woodlands coffee shop has been <a href=\"https:\/\/deleciousfood.com\/portland-coffee-shop-vaccine-clinic-draws-big-crowd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a> for \u201ca pop-up vaccination clinic for COVID-19 and flu vaccines\u201d as recently as December.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAbort Republicans\u201d stickers were also reported on as the Supreme Court considers two important abortion-related cases. The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-abortion-advocates-react-to-supreme-courts-texas-abortion-law-decision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> concerning a Texas abortion-restriction bill decision being considered by the Supreme Court:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Texas\u2019 Heartbeat Act effectively outlaws abortion after the sixth week of pregnancy, when fetal cardiac activity can be detected. As The Daily Wire previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/supreme-court-rejects-abortion-providers-request-to-stay-texas-heartbeat-law\">reported<\/a>, \u201cThe Texas law allows citizens to sue abortion providers and those who \u2018aid and abet\u2019 illegal procedures for a financial reward if the lawsuit is successful.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The court is also considering a Mississippi law that could change abortion laws nationwide. The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-abortion-advocates-react-to-supreme-court-abortion-case\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>The Mississippi law bans abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
