The main sponsors, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/31\/republicans-democrats-ask-dhs-mayorkas-to-import-more-cheap-labor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rep. Deborah Ross<\/a> (D-NC) and Miller-Meeks, \u201cneed to be exposed for being toadies to the corporations and not sticking up for wage-earners,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The vast majority of the beneficiaries are the adult children of Indian\u2019s massive workforce in the United States. The&nbsp;bill is being pushed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americaschildrenact.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an advocacy group for Indian contract workers<\/a> who have taken Americans\u2019 jobs and homes, and it is backed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/4331\/cosponsors?r=84&amp;s=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">32 members in the House<\/a>&nbsp;and by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/senate-bill\/2753\/cosponsors?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22chamberActionDateCode%3A%5C%222021-09-15%7C117%7C10000%5C%22+AND+billIsReserved%3A%5C%22N%5C%22%22%5D%7D&amp;r=5&amp;s=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seven members<\/a> in the Senate.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Black Americans who spent most of their lives working on Mississippi farms are suing their former employer after they were replaced by foreign workers on the H-2A visa program. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/X7DKTy8Dla\">https:\/\/t.co\/X7DKTy8Dla<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1459497359788974083?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 13, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That bill is also being boosted by an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ImproveTheDream\/status\/1470776215367831558?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ethnic Indian, pro-Democratic<\/a> advocacy group, which <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ImproveTheDream\/status\/1458913378555113477?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helps Democrats gain power<\/a> as the Fortune 500 converts roughly 25,000 Indians per year into citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Indian visa workers and their lobbyists have relentlessly lobbied U.S. legislators for more green cards during the last several years. Much of their lobbying takes place in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2019\/11\/04\/watch-sen-dick-durbin-to-indias-visa-workers-it-is-good-that-you-come-to-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">face-to-face meetings<\/a> where legislators are aggressively pressed by empathy-inducing groups of doctors or by attractive young graduates. In 2019, for example, Leon Fresco, a former congressional staffer, pushed a similar bill using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2019\/07\/03\/h-1b-lobbyist-u-s-critics-are-racist-for-opposing-stealth-transfer-of-college-grad-jobs-to-indian-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">similar lobbying<\/a>&nbsp;tactics against Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY) who is sponsoring Miller-Meeks\u2019 bill in the Senate:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We have lots and lots of doctors in Kentucky, both in Louisville<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>and in Lexington, and in other cities around Kentucky, who can all express how important this bill is to them, and how they literally can\u2019t afford to be doctors anymore.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Many of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/var_nogood\/status\/1472977703708020739?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Indian<\/a> visa workers and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/meetkinjy\/status\/1471911510662336520?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their advocates<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BaldwinSpeaks\/status\/1473424099322048517?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are eager<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MMR_HR3648\/status\/1473057660148850688?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smear disagreement<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DurbinHypocrite\/status\/1477588997115310080?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Americans<\/a> as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/08\/06\/sen-rick-scott-portrayed-kkk-member-immigration-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">racism.<\/a> For example, Fresco said in 2019:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>All of our opponents can be lumped into one of two categories, very simple. Either you are an ethno-racist \u2026 Or you are what I would call a for-profit racist, meaning, \u201cI have figured out a way<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>to make money from the racist system, and if this racist system goes away, I\u2019m not going to make money anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both of those are disgusting, OK? Whether you are a racist or a for-profit racist, you\u2019re still a racist, and anyone who is taking money from<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>ethno-racists or from for-profit racists<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>or benefiting from ethno-racism or from for-profit racism, is going to be called out by us in the next few weeks<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span>and no-one \u2014 whether it is Sen. Paul currently<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>or any other Senator who wants to object to this [bill] \u2014 is going to be able to survive the scrutiny that we are going to bring.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Miller-Meeks <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mariannette_Miller-Meeks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is a doctor<\/a> and worked with medical groups in Iowa. Her spokesman portrayed the bill as a fix for problems with temporary visas, not about green cards and citizenship.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cThe Congresswoman personally knows many [foreign] individuals who have been impacted by the issues with renewing visas,\u201d&nbsp;<\/span>said her spokesman&nbsp;Will Kiley.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Kiley also tried to portray the legislation as a fix for a policy problem in President Joe Biden\u2019s administration: \u201cThe State Department backlog under this Administration has created many issues for legal residents and businesses alike, and this legislation&nbsp;would aim to fix that,\u201d he added. In reality, the problem was created in 2000 when Congress allowed H-1B temporary workers to stay in the U.S. for decades.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Rand Paul\u2019s office declined to answer questions from Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>The bill pushed by India\u2019s Patre is being backed by ten House Republicans and four Senate Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>They GOP supporters include Miller-Meeks,&nbsp; Rep. Young Kim (R-CA),&nbsp; Rep. John Rutherford (R-FL), Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IN),&nbsp; Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL), Rep. Carlos Gimenez, (R-FL), Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV), Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), and Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI), plus Rand&nbsp; Paul, Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Jodi Ernst (R-IA), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).<\/p>\n<p>Miller-Meeks, Giminez, and Meijer are members of the House homeland defense committee. Rutherford and Hinson are members of the homeland defense panel of the House committee on appropriations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Indian H-1B contract workers pressed Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin to demand he support Sen. That bonus is so valuable that roughly one million mid-skill foreign graduates are now working in U.S. jobs for many years to get their valuable green cards, often in lower-wage, gig-work jobs for Fortune 500 subcontractors.<\/p>\n<p>This cheap, disposable, and compliant \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/green-card-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">green card workforce<\/a>\u201d is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/10\/29\/democrats-migration-bill-rewards-hiring-discrimination-against-us-graduates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">excellent for investors<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 but it profoundly distorts the white-collar labor market and regional economies in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/05\/22\/fed-data-visa-worker-program-sneaks-wealth-jobs-blue-states-tech-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">skewed labor market<\/a>&nbsp;makes it extremely difficult for U.S. graduates to compete for starter jobs against visa workers who can be paid with the alternative currency of free, government-delivered citizenship.&nbsp;The imported foreign workers will work for lower wages and long hours \u2014 and without complaint \u2014 because they carry little college debt and are eager to leave China or India to take any job in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCorporations make&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/21\/critics-feds-ok-fortune-500-war-on-u-s-professional-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extraordinary efforts<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/03\/09\/lawsuit-us-managers-hired-h-1bs-discriminated-against-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not hire Americans<\/a>, and they can do this \u2026 by attracting vast numbers of employment-visa [foreign] workers with [offers of] a pathway to citizenship,\u201d said Kevin Lynn, who is the founder of U.S. Tech Workers group which campaigns against the visa programs.<\/p>\n<p>So the programs&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/06\/26\/ex-google-chief-uses-top-tier-immigration-claim-to-sideline-u-s-college-graduates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">concentrate economic and political power<\/a>&nbsp;in the hands of a few coastal investors. They also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/21\/critics-feds-ok-fortune-500-war-on-u-s-professional-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exclude many young Americans<\/a> from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/10\/02\/census-shows-indian-graduates-are-pushing-americans-out-of-the-tech-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many white-collar careers<\/a>, force down <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/08\/27\/veritas-whistleblower-dhs-officials-given-bonuses-importing-contract-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">professionals\u2019 salaries,<\/a>&nbsp;and break the careers escalators that once trained young Americans for professional leadership positions.<\/p>\n<p>The programs\u2019 most insidious damage is inflicted on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/23\/lawsuit-spotlights-anti-american-corruption-in-h-1b-outsourcing-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S.-style professionalism<\/a>. When U.S. executives&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/03\/09\/lawsuit-us-managers-hired-h-1bs-discriminated-against-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appoint foreign managers<\/a>, U.S. professionals are subordinated to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/03\/lawsuit-fortune-500-adds-india-caste-culture-us-workplaces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">foreign workers\u2019 visa priorities&nbsp;<\/a>and to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/03\/lawsuit-fortune-500-adds-india-caste-culture-us-workplaces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">foreign workplace cultures<\/a>. For example, the Indian workplace culture is so ruthless that Indian managers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/09\/30\/lawsuit-intels-indian-managers-discriminated-against-korea-born-american\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fire accomplished U.S. professionals<\/a>&nbsp;so they can sell those jobs to bribe-paying, mid-skilled Indian visa workers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/21\/critics-feds-ok-fortune-500-war-on-u-s-professional-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to numerous Indians<\/a>&nbsp;who still hope to become U.S. professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Many Americans are pushed out of high-tech careers by U.S. executives\u2019 preference for compliant visa workers. While it doesn\u2019t pay as much as his last gig, Diangelo considers himself lucky. \u201cLast week I got together with six of my former co-workers, and I\u2019m the only one that\u2019s fully employed. After three years there is one guy who is driving a school bus, there is another guy working at the local supermarket stocking shelves, there are other people who are not working at all.\u201d Diangelo tears up a bit when discussing their plight. \u201cI look at my co-workers, people with advanced degrees, and they are working at the supermarket stocking shelves or driving school buses. Really? It does become humiliating.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This brutal process also strips the surviving U.S. professionals of their power to promote quality and innovation in the face of profit-maximizing executives. It sucks wealth and people from heartland states. It drains life from towns in&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.myvisajobs.com\/H1B-Visa\/Search.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Iowa<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/09\/19\/h-1b-program-sucks-billions-of-s-in-payroll-from-gop-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kentucky<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/04\/02\/sen-manchin-endorses-cheap-labor-amnesty-for-the-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Virginia<\/a>,&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.myvisajobs.com\/H1B-Visa\/Search.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Michigan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/07\/01\/kevin-mccarthy-picks-amnesty-advocate-for-2022-immigration-messaging\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upstate New York<\/a>, and many&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.myvisajobs.com\/H1B-Visa\/Search.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">other places<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Miller-Meeks bill would extend this outsourcing process, even though there is no shortage of labor in a nation of&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/fred.stlouisfed.org\/series\/LFWA64TTUSM647S\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">190 million<\/a>&nbsp;working-age people and&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/pdf\/empsit.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">roughly 150 million jobs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">The bill offers companies the ability to promise green cards and citizenship to the foreign children of foreign workers who take U.S. jobs. Advocates say for the bill say <\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">200,000 foreign-born adult children of foreign visa workers will get an immediate benefit. But the benefits for children also encourage more Indian visa workers to sign up for U.S. jobs and to not quit and go home as they wait years to get their own cards.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cIt seeks to give permanent resident status to the child of an alien here on a TEMPORARY work visa,\u201d said Lynn. \u201cGiven the wording of the bill, any child of an H-1B visa worker will be given a pathway to citizenship.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16684388\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/visa-workers-agriculture-foreign-workers-feb2021-fl-getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16684388\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/visa-workers-agriculture-foreign-workers-feb2021-fl-getty.jpg\" alt=\"IMMOKALEE, FLORIDA - FEBRUARY 19: Workers register in the morning before heading out to pick tomatoes at a farm owned and operated by Pacific Tomato Growers on February 19, 2021 in Immokalee, Florida. (Spencer Platt\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">The bill would also give those benefits to the children of the E-2 visa workers who buy and operate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/20\/data-joe-biden-imports-almost-1-5-million-migrants-in-eight-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fortune 500 franchises<\/a>&nbsp;for hotels, stores, trucks, and many other businesses. This expansion would subsidize many Fortune 500 who hire foreign managers to run their low-productivity U.S.-based franchises.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">The award of green cards to adult children would be uncapped, according to the bill. So the law would add to overall migration levels \u2014 and also pressure federal officials to intrusively verify the claimed parentage of workers\u2019 claimed children. The verification would be needed because federal officials and Indian whistleblowers have long noted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/08\/30\/justice-dept-charges-indian-ceo-with-massive-h-1b-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extensive fraud<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">selection of Indians<\/a> for the H-1B VISAS. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cThere is no cap for children sponsoring their parents,\u201d said Lynn. \u201cIf only we could get Congresswoman Deborah Ross and Congresswoman Miller-Meeks to go to such lengths for American college graduates and American workers,\u201d he added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">The bill would be yet another subsidy for companies because it provides them with roughly 200,000 more foreign-born workers for white-collar jobs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">Back in 2015, President Barack Obama and his deputies quietly awarded work permits to the spouses of H-1B workers without congressional approval. That similar giveaway provided businesses with at least 300,000 \u201cH4EAD\u201d workers for U.S- jobs and also helped persuade some of their long-standing H-1B workers to not return back to India.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Miller-Meeks bill also serves as a partial substitute for a prior giveaway bill that died in 2020 when the GOP and the Democrats blocked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/s-386\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the S.386 bill<\/a> that was pushed by Utah\u2019s GOP establishment.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Department of Homeland Security is recycling 14,500 unused H-1B visas to employers after worried companies declined to accept the work visas they had won in the annual lottery. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wN8adaBcvo\">https:\/\/t.co\/wN8adaBcvo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1294983085000470529?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 16, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That S.386 giveaway would have expanded the annual awards of green cards to the visa workers from India who provide most of the mid-skill workers to the Fortune 500 companies. The Miller-Meeks bill would mimic the S.386 billion by allowing the foreign contract workers to get their desired green cards and citizens from their adult children.<\/p>\n<p>The giveaway is also a partial substitute for the green card giveaways in the pending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/10\/29\/democrats-migration-bill-rewards-hiring-discrimination-against-us-graduates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Build Back Better<\/a> bill.<\/p>\n<p>The Miller-Meeks giveaway is just one of many bills that seek to import workers for the companies \u2014 many of whom are complaining they have to compete for workers by offering higher wages. That competiti0n for workers \u2014 dubbed a \u201ctight labor market\u201d \u2014 began in 2020 when President Donald Trump and the coronavirus popped the post-1990 cheap labor bubble.&nbsp;Overall, the federal government imported&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/13\/census-data-shows-trumps-immigration-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five million<\/a>&nbsp;fewer foreigners from 2010 to 2020 \u2014 including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/17\/jpmorgan-wages-productivity-jumped-amid-trumps-low-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three million<\/a>&nbsp;fewer from 2017 to 2020 \u2014 compared to prior decades, according to&nbsp;recent reports.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/31\/republicans-democrats-ask-dhs-mayorkas-to-import-more-cheap-labor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> December 31:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Due to ongoing workforce shortages our country continues to face, American farmers continue to utilize the H-2A guest worker visa program,\u201d 35 legislators said in&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/upton.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/final_-_lucas-cuellar_h2a_letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">a December 21 letter<\/a>&nbsp;sent to the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security, which is headed by the pro-migration zealot, Alejandro Mayorkas. But federal travels curbs against the new omicron epidemic&nbsp; has stranded&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/02\/11\/no-americans-wanted-rural-employers-seek-more-visa-workers-from-amnesty-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">7,000 South African seasonal workers<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/upton.house.gov\/news\/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=401862\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">legislators said<\/a>, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout an exemption to the recently imposed travel restrictions, South African H-2A worker absences will limit the ability of American farms to continue production of food, fuel, and fiber for our nation during this critical time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That letter was signed by&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/riponadvance.com\/stories\/upton-bipartisan-group-of-lawmakers-request-travel-exemptions-for-south-african-farmworkers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">at least 12 Republicans<\/a>, including&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/news\/article\/Spokeswoman-Stefanik-how-the-GOP-chair-is-16704746.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Rep. Elise Stefanik<\/a>&nbsp;(D-NY), who runs the House Republican Conference leadership office.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day,&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepDeborahRoss\/status\/1473420265514319880\/photo\/3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">21 Democrats asked Mayorkas<\/a>&nbsp;to accelerate the award of work permits to the imported wives of Indian contract workers. Their Indian husbands are using H-1B and L-1 visas to take white-collar jobs needed by U.S. graduates. \u201cProcessing delays have left [the spouses\u2019] families without a second income, forcing them to dip into their savings, sell their homes, and take other drastic measures,\u201d said the letter, led by Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC), and also signed by Kathy Porter (D-CA).<\/p>\n[\u2026]\n<p>The&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/riponadvance.com\/stories\/upton-bipartisan-group-of-lawmakers-request-travel-exemptions-for-south-african-farmworkers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">H-2A letter<\/a>&nbsp;was signed by Reps. Fred Upton (R-Mich), Troy Balderson (R-OH), Glenn Thompson (R-PA), Dusty Johnson (R-SD), Bill Huizenga (R-MI),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/06\/23\/farm-ceos-seek-amnesty-to-block-wage-gains-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dan Newhouse (R-WA)<\/a>,&nbsp; Troy Balderson (R-OH),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/09\/01\/peter-meijer-afghan-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Meijer (R-MI)<\/a>, Ron Estes (R-KS), Frank Lucas (R-OK), Kelly Armstrong (R-ND),&nbsp;Tom Cole (R-OK), Elise Stefanik (R-NY),&nbsp; and Tom Emmer (R-MN).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Understandably, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/09\/gop-poll-tracks-public-opposition-corporate-labor-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fewer than half<\/a>&nbsp;of likely voters trust House GOP members on immigration issues.<\/p>\n<p>Many&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/immigration-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polls show<\/a>&nbsp;that Americans want to like immigrants and immigration.
