If people don\u2019t have more children, civilization is going to crumble. Mark my words.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More and more people are opting out of having children due to fears surrounding climate change alarmism, or other reasons.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/12\/07\/elon-musk-civilization-will-crumble-if-we-dont-have-more-children.html\">highlighted<\/a> by CNBC, Morgan Stanley analysts told investors this summer the \u201cmovement to not have children owing to fears over climate change is growing and impacting fertility rates quicker than any preceding trend in the field of fertility decline.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably,&nbsp;Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during a 2019 Instagram Live questioned if it was ethical to have children over concerns stemming from the so-called \u201cscientific consensus\u201d and climate change. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ocasio-cortez-people-maybe-shouldnt-reproduce-due-ryan-saavedra\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don\u2019t turn this ship around and so it\u2019s basically like, there\u2019s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez said while chopping up food in her kitchen during an Instagram live video. \u201cAnd it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, \u2018Is it okay to still have children?\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has expressed his concern over apparent overpopulation.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/factcheck-gates-vaccine\/fact-check-bill-gates-quoteabout-vaccines-and-population-growth-has-beentaken-out-of-contextagain-idUSL1N2MF1L8\">highlighted<\/a> by Reuters, Gates during a 2010 TED talk discussed \u201cmethods\u202ffor\u202freducing\u202fthe world\u2019s carbon emissions to zero.\u201d The report noted, \u201cCrucially, one of the factors pushing carbon emissions to an unsustainable level is population growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cFirst, we\u2019ve got population,\u201d Gates said during the talk. \u201cThe world today has 6.8 billion people.\u202fThat\u2019s\u202fheaded up to about nine billion. Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by, perhaps, 10 or 15 percent. But there, we see an increase of about 1.3.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-paragraph-2Bgue ArticleBody-para-TD_9x\">\u201cGates\u202fwas not suggesting the global population should be killed off using vaccines,\u201d Reuters said. \u201cHe is\u202finstead\u202fsaying\u202fthat improving public health using vaccinations\u202fcan\u202freduce unsustainable population growth in the future \u2013 and with it, lower carbon emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Gates again made reference to reducing \u201cpopulation growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">How do we reduce population growth?
