Eric Swalwell claimed during an interview on Monday that the 2022 midterms could be the \u201clast election,\u201d referring to Republican efforts to strengthen voter integrity laws and oppose a Democrat federal voting rights law.<\/p>\n<p>Swalwell made the bizarre comment during an interview on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cAll In with Chris Hayes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u2018This is it\u2019: Rep. And on the other side of the finish line, they\u2019re putting in place processes where they could reverse the outcome even if we crawl through glass and run through the fire to get to the ballot box. And so if they are able to win the House, the damage they could do to permanently make it difficult to vote and just alter the way that we participate in the democratic process could be irreversible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Swalwell added to the significance of the 2022 midterm election by noting it could be \u201cthe last election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not only the most important election.
