With this unprecedented pandemic continuing to rage, I am deeply grateful for the scientists, researchers, and frontline healthcare workers who have worked tirelessly to develop vaccines that are safe and effective, and ensure that our communities are protected,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Pressley is the latest in a string of vaccinated politicians to catch coronavirus. Others include Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Chris Coons&nbsp;(D-DE), Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO), and Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL).<\/p>\n<p>Scientists who have&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurosurveillance.org\/content\/10.2807\/1560-7917.ES.2021.26.50.2101147\">traced<\/a>&nbsp;the omicron variant have found it to be \u201chighly transmissible\u201d among fully-vaccinated adults, NPR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/goatsandsoda\/2021\/12\/31\/1067702355\/omicron-is-spreading-like-wildfire-scientists-are-trying-to-figure-out-why\">reported<\/a>.&nbsp;South African doctors treating omicron patients have also consistently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/south-african-doctors-see-signs-omicron-is-milder-than-delta\/\">told<\/a> reporters around the world that their patients did not appear to be suffering from severe symptoms on a large scale, but noted that a majority of those hospitalized are unvaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden promised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/01\/11-times-joe-biden-promised-to-get-coronavirus-under-control-in-2020\/\">at least 11 times<\/a> before he took office to get the virus \u201cunder control,\u201d though he&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/27\/joe-biden-off-to-beach-admitting-no-federal-solution-coronavirus\/\">concluded<\/a>&nbsp; earlier this week that there is \u201cno federal solution\u201d to the problem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
