She added that data increasingly suggests teachers do not need to be vaccinated to return to classroom learning.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI also want to be clear that there is increasing data to suggest that schools can safely reopen and that that safe reopening does not suggest that teachers need to be vaccinated in order to reopen safely.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/cdc-schools-can-reopen-safely-without-vaccinating-teachers-against-covid-19\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span>Last week the CDC weighed into the ongoing debate over whether to reopen schools for in-person instruction, noting that schools that are currently welcoming students into classrooms with certain safety precautions in place have only \u201cscant transmission\u201d of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>In an<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jama\/fullarticle\/2775875\"><span>article<\/span><\/a> <span>published in the Journal of the American Medical Association last week, doctors affiliated with the CDC encouraged schools nationwide to open their doors, claiming that \u201cthere has been little evidence that schools have contributed meaningfully to increased community transmission.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In an interview on the Rachel Maddow Show, Walensky doubled down on the CDC\u2019s guidance to reopen without full vaccinations of teachers.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThere\u2019s accumulating data that suggests there\u2019s not a lot of transmission that is happening in schools when the proper mitigation measures are taken,\u201d Walensky said. \u201cThe data suggests, the science suggests, that there is not a lot of transmission happening in schools.
