Loudoun County Rape Coverup:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Loudoun County, Virginia, has been considered across the country as \u201cground zero\u201d for national education issues, including critical race theory, mask mandates, and gender ideology.<\/p>\n<p>One issue in particular, however, clearly took the county by storm: an alleged student rape coverup by the county\u2019s school board.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19269802\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Aa-1235849843.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19269802\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Aa-1235849843.jpg\" alt=\"A woman sits with her sign during a Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) board meeting in Ashburn, Virginia on October 12, 2021. - Loudoun county school board meetings have become tense recently with parents clashing with board members over transgender issues, the teaching of critical race theory (CRT), and Covid-19 mandates. (ANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Loudoun County father Scott Smith was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/12\/father-loudoun-county-schools-hid-daughters-bathroom-assault-by-boy-wearing-skirt\/\">arrested<\/a> in June during a board meeting at which hundreds of parents&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/23\/loudoun-county-school-board-cuts-public-comments-sics-police-critical-race-theory-criticisms-grow\/\">voiced<\/a>&nbsp;concerns about several issues going on in the district. Smith\u2019s case was cited by the National School Boards Association in their letter to the Biden administration asking them to look into parents as \u201cdomestic terrorists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smith, it was revealed, was reacting to superintendent Scott Ziegler appearing to lie about the fact that Smith\u2019s daughter had been sexually assaulted in the girls\u2019 restroom by a boy wearing a skirt.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The alleged coverup, it appeared to many, was done in an effort to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/14\/loudoun-county-school-board\/\">pass<\/a> a sweeping transgender policy that would allow boys to use girls\u2019 restrooms and locker rooms, as well as compete against girls in sports.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/26\/conservatives-inundate-loudoun-county-schools-with-over-500-foia-requests\/\">reported<\/a>, conservatives have inundated the school board with over 500 FOIA requests seeking answers on the coverup.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>2. Terry McAuliffe Sinks His Own Campaign:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just as Loudoun County has been considered \u201cground zero,\u201d Virginia as a state made headline after headline on the education issue, in part due to the off-year gubernatorial election.<\/p>\n<p>Former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), who has deep ties to teachers unions, the Clintons, and the Democrat Party establishment, was running for a second, nonconsecutive term in the governor\u2019s mansion.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>As the education issue heated up in the Commonwealth, McAuliffe could be heard frequently saying how critical race theory was not taught in schools or that some boys were really girls and it was therefore fair for boys to compete against girls, in spite of biological data.<\/p>\n<p>But McAuliffe from the beginning was considered a shoo-in for the seat, as Virginia has seen a leftward move in the past decade or more \u2014 until he <a href=\"http:\/\/breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/29\/terry-mcauliffe-i-dont-think-parents-should-be-telling-schools-what-they-should-teach\/\">said<\/a> the quiet part out loud: \u201cI don\u2019t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This gaffe, said at a September debate with Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, has been widely regarded as a major turning point in the campaign, which saw tightening polls and eventually a Youngkin victory.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f Last I checked, it\u2019s OUR taxpayer dollars funding OUR public schools for OUR children. Fairfax County\u2019s Pornography- and Pedophilia-Laced Books:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>***Warning Graphic Content***<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In yet another Virginia story, Fairfax County Public Schools decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/29\/fairfax-county-public-schools-reintroduces-pornographic-pedophilic-material\/\">reintroduce<\/a> to school libraries the books&nbsp;<em>Gender Queer: A Memoir<\/em>&nbsp;by Maia Kobabe and&nbsp;<em>Lawn Boy<\/em>&nbsp;by&nbsp;Jonathan Evison, as, after an official review, they were found to have no&nbsp;pornographic or pedophilic content&nbsp;after they had been challenged by parents.<\/p>\n<p>The problem, however, came due to the fact that both books have pictures and literature that clearly depict and describe pornography and pedophilia.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">These are the images in Fairfax County Public Schools libraries for even 12 year olds. Mom Stacy Langton showed them to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fcpsnews?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@fcpsnews<\/a> school board before <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stella_pekarsky?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@stella_pekarsky<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LJ4fcps?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LJ4fcps<\/a> rudely interrupted the mom\u2019s 2 minutes. And ran away. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LmUoaVRzWG\">pic.twitter.com\/LmUoaVRzWG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Asra Q. Nomani \ud83d\udc3b (@AsraNomani) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AsraNomani\/status\/1441366358042812418?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As Breitbart News&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/27\/award-winning-sexually-explicit-books-terry-mcauliffe-kept-in-virginia-school-libraries\/\">reported<\/a>,&nbsp;<em>Gender Queer: A Memoir<\/em>&nbsp;\u201ccontains explicit illustrations of sexual encounters, including oral sex and masturbation, involving children,\u201d while&nbsp;<em>Lawn Boy<\/em>&nbsp;\u201ccontains graphic descriptions of sex between men and children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite FCPS\u2019s denial, the depiction of pedophilic acts appears clear with a graphic illustration of Plato\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Symposium<\/em>, an important philosophical work but also a manuscript well known for its account of pedophilia in Ancient Greece, in which a bearded man is fondling the genitals of a boy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gender Queer: A Memoir<\/em>&nbsp;\u201cis a well-written, scientifically based narrative of one person\u2019s journey with gender identity that contains information and perspective that is not widely represented,\u201d FCPS says in defense of keeping the book on the shelves. \u201cThis depiction includes the difficulties nonbinary and asexual individuals may face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the depiction of Plato\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Symposium<\/em>, an excerpt from&nbsp;<em>Gender Queer: A Memoir<\/em>&nbsp;includes, \u201cI can\u2019t wait to have your cock in my mouth \u2014 I\u2019m going to give you the blow job of your life. Then I want you inside me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. The \u201cSecret Transition\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>School districts \u201csecretly transitioning\u201d children from one gender to another without the knowledge or consent of parents was yet another egregious policy that defined 2021 as the year of education.<\/p>\n<p>In Wisconsin,&nbsp;parents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/18\/wisconsin-parents-sue-school-district-for-allowing-daughter-to-socially-transition-without-their-consent\/\">removed<\/a> their 12-year-old daughter from the&nbsp;Kettle Moraine School District (KMSD) after the school began a \u201csocial transition\u201d so she could \u201cpresent to others as the opposite sex.\u201d They filed a lawsuit challenging KMSD\u2019s policy that \u201callows minor students to change their name and gender pronouns at school without parental consent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Florida, parents of a 13-year-old girl&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/tallahasseereports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Complaint-As-Filed-101821.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">filed<\/a>&nbsp;a federal lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/16\/florida-parents-sue-school-for-secretly-transitioning-13-year-old-daughter\/\">against<\/a> a school district after officials at Deerlake Middle School secretly \u201ctransitioned\u201d the girl into a \u201ctransgender male.\u201d According to the lawsuit, the district\u2019s \u201c<i>LCS Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Gender Nonconforming and Questioning Support Guide<\/i> \u2026 expressly directs school administrators to avoid notifying the child\u2019s parents about a child\u2019s gender identity, claiming such an action could lead to the student becoming homeless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, \u201cparents of a 12-year-old girl in the Spreckels Union School District (SUSD) in Salinas, California, claimed school staff indoctrinated their daughter into identifying as \u2018trans fluid.&#8217;\u201d&nbsp;One parent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/education\/2021\/12\/17\/parents-outraged-claim-teacher-coached-daughter-into-identifying-as-trans-fluid\/\">said<\/a> the teacher accused her of not being \u201cemotionally supportive\u201d of her daughter\u2019s new gender identity, and said she should be using her daughter\u2019s new name and pronouns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. \u201cPassing the Trash\u201d \u2014 The Biden Administration Tries to Stop Tracking Teacher Sex Crimes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s Department of Education, headed by Secretary Miguel Cardona, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/23\/biden-education-department-to-curtail-trump-era-effort-to-track-teacher-sex-crimes-teacher-unions-to-continue-passing-the-trash\/\">attempted<\/a> in November to stop tracking&nbsp;teacher-on-student sexual assault allegations as part of its Civil Rights Data Collection.<\/p>\n<p>Tracking such allegations was initiated by former President Donald Trump\u2019s Education Secretary Betsy DeVos with the goal of providing \u201ca fuller understanding of sexual violence perpetrated by teachers and staff against students.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18880306\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/AP21217634035339.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18880306\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/AP21217634035339.jpg\" alt=\"Education Secretary Miguel Cardona speaks during the daily briefing at the White House in Washington, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021. (AP Photo\/Susan Walsh)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhile I was in Washington, we stopped the unions from \u2018passing the trash\u2019 \u2014 relocating predator teachers without disclosing their conduct to the new district,\u201d DeVos said at the time, continuing to say that \u201cthere is no rational way to justify sweeping teachers sexually assaulting students under the rug. The only explanation is that the Biden Administration is a wholly owned subsidiary of the teacher union bosses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After much public backlash, and apparently some soul searching, Biden\u2019s Education Department was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/16\/biden-admin-planned-to-halt-trump-era-tracking-of-teacher-sex-offenses-but-public-backlash-forces-retreat\/\">forced<\/a> to retreat and reinstate the data collection on sexual assault allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the reversal, DeVos called it \u201csad\u201d that the Education Department had to be \u201cpublicly shamed and embarrassed into doing the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Intimidation Tactics \u2014 Districts with Their Own Police Forces:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In perhaps the most underreported education story of the year, Texas\u2019s Round Rock Independent School District added a new dimension into the debate over schooling.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/26\/armed-agents-in-texas-school-district-arrest-concerned-parents-in-their-own-homes\/\">reported<\/a>, RRISD used \u201cits own armed agents to arrest parents who&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/public-school-boards-against-parents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">speak<\/a>&nbsp;out against the school board\u2019s policies.\u201d The parents were not simply arrested at a school board meeting, however. They were arrested in their own homes by a police force that is answerable to the superintendent and the school board \u2014 not to the local government.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">And then they came for the parents\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Yn5Gf2cB7P\">https:\/\/t.co\/Yn5Gf2cB7P<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RandPaul\/status\/1465704091405799432?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>RRISD has its own police force \u201cwith a three-layer chain of command, patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While many parents in Round Rock believe the school board is trying to send the message, \u201cif you speak out against us, we will turn you into criminals,\u201d this is not the only instance in the country where the school leadership has control of its own police force or has requested the militarization of school board meetings to intimidate parents who disagree with policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Loudoun County, Virginia, for example, where parents have protested against critical race theory and a sexual assault cover-up, the superintendent asked the county sheriff to&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/loudoun-county-sheriff-denied-superintendents-request-for-swat-team-at-board-meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">deploy<\/a>&nbsp;a SWAT team, riot control unit, and undercover agents to monitor parents at school board meetings,\u201d Breitbart News reported.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Resegregation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The last year has also seen a movement by the left to resegregate schools.<\/p>\n<p>Using the critical race theory ideology, and often under the pet name \u201caffinity groups,\u201d leftists school officials have started organizing racially segregated events at schools for a variety of reasons.<\/p>\n<p>A civil rights complaint was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/17\/federal-civil-rights-complaint-filed-against-denver-schools-over-racial-segregation\/\">filed<\/a> with the U.S. Department of Education against Denver Public Schools (DPS) after one of its elementary schools hosted a racially segregated \u201cfamilies of color playground night.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">From &#8220;separate but equal&#8221; to &#8220;separate but equitable.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NcUVqXe0Du\">pic.twitter.com\/NcUVqXe0Du<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Christopher F. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1470866729999945743?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 14, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Another&nbsp;civil rights complaint was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/19\/federal-civil-rights-complaint-filed-against-illinois-school-over-racial-segregation\/\">filed<\/a>&nbsp;with the U.S. Department of Education against an Illinois high school after it advertised an allegedly racially-segregated \u201cstudents of color field trip opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In a statement, the principal of Downers Grove South, Ed Schwartz, told me that the school planned the racially-segregated program to &#8220;provide the opportunity for students of color to be partnered with a group of teachers who look like them and have had similar life experiences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Christopher F. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1471558572798451716?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 16, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/07\/massachusetts-middle-school-offers-racially-segregated-safe-spaces-for-students-to-process-rittenhouse-arbery-verdicts\/\">Massachusetts<\/a> schools <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/29\/segregation-for-racial-justice-massachusetts-principal-promises-racially-divided-spaces-over-rittenhouse-verdict\/\">decided<\/a> to have racially segregated \u201csafe spaces\u201d to \u201cprocess\u201d the verdict in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Kyle Rittenhouse conclusion will likely be seen as yet another unfair reality for many Bigelow families, staff, and students\u2014particularly our community members of color,\u201d a December 1 letter to students from Bigelow Middle School Principal Chassity Coston read.<\/p>\n<p>At Newton North High School, however, Principal Henry Turner said&nbsp;\u201cthis divisive case will be seen as a blow \u2026 particularly to black and brown people who are regularly reminded that their bodies are treated as less than others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently displaying a fundamental lack of understanding of the Rittenhouse trial, where the then-17-year-old shot three white individuals in self-defense, killing two of them, during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Turner went on to say, \u201cThere is a long history of acquittals such as this&nbsp;<strong>when white people get off for murdering black people<\/strong>. \u2026&nbsp;To ignore racism in these situations just empowers racism.\u201d [Emphasis added].<\/p>\n<p>As Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts (R) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/20\/exclusive-gov-pete-ricketts-critical-race-theory-is-about-resegregation-a-betrayal-of-the-civil-rights-movement\/\">told<\/a> Breitbart News,&nbsp;\u201cCritical race theory is talking about resegregation. It is talking about discriminating his people based upon their skin color. It is a betrayal of the civil rights movement and Martin Luther King, who wanted his children to be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The View for 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a result of the left\u2019s policies being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/29\/2022-battleground-conservatives-push-for-partisan-political-school-board-elections\/\">brought<\/a> to light over the course of the year, conservatives have begun targeting untapped potential in school board races as 2021 saw districts&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/10\/27\/loudoun-county-parents-rally-at-nsba-hq-they-want-to-keep-the-educational-system-their-own-indoctrination-mill\/\">exposed<\/a>&nbsp;across the country as left-wing \u201cindoctrination mills,\u201d setting up ripe political battlegrounds in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to take back control of school boards in America, Republicans are pushing changes that would turn the typically nonpartisan races into partisan, political ones with contested primaries.<\/p>\n<p>In Republican-led states across the country, legislatures are looking to change the way school board elections are run in order to bring genuine contests, as opposed to the norm of uncontested, low-voter-turnout elections for offices that have an outsized amount of power.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/20\/republicans-promise-national-education-fight-midterms\/\">reported<\/a>, \u201cRepublicans across the country gearing up for the midterms are promising a major education reform push focused on parental rights and educational standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Breccan F.
