Sixty-eight percent said they are more hopeful for what 2022 has in store for them, while only 30 percent said they are more fearful.<\/p>\n<p>When the respondents were asked, \u201cWhat word or words would you use to describe the year you had in 2021,\u201d 43 percent of the respondents said, \u201cworrisome\u201d and 43 percent said, \u201cexhausting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-five percent of the respondents said they would like to hear less about the coronavirus pandemic next year, while&nbsp;money and politics were at the forefront when they were asked&nbsp;what issues matter most.&nbsp;Thirty-one percent said, \u201cjobs and the economy,\u201d and 17 percent said, \u201cdemocracy\u201d as a runner-up. \u201cHealth care\u201d was the next closest with 16 percent.<\/p>\n<p>With the current supply chain crisis and the inflation hitting a 40 year high, half (50 percent) of the respondents said 2022 would be a bad year for the economy, with 17 percent saying it will be a \u201cvery bad year\u201d for the economy.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;Axios\/Momentive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/curiosity\/axios-2021-year-end\/\">poll<\/a> was conducted between 14 and 16.
