This year, the city is <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/new-york-city-new-years-ball-drop-coronavirus-pandemic-afd4744549303fc4d20229fc12c7130c?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&amp;utm_medium=AP&amp;utm_source=Twitter\">capping<\/a> the number of in-person spectators to 15,000 as opposed to the tens of thousands of individuals who typically attend the annual event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-55 Component-p-0-2-46\">\u201cWe are very excited to welcome back visitors to Times Square this New Year\u2019s Eve,\u201d said Tom Harris, president of the Times Square Alliance. \u201cOur goal is to have a safe and responsible event for the world to see.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, the 15,000 who are attending will still have to abide by certain \u201csafety\u201d restrictions.
