Of all three political groups \u2014 Republicans, Democrats, and independents \u2014Democrats are the most likely to make resolutions, as 53 percent say they will.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">44% will make New Year&#8217;s resolutions this year, up from 39% in Dec 2017<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/c93Ph3nUJU\">https:\/\/t.co\/c93Ph3nUJU<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NewYear2022?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NewYear2022<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BreakingPoll?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BreakingPoll<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JCeXb9oMxR\">pic.twitter.com\/JCeXb9oMxR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Rasmussen_Poll\/status\/1476590150398451713?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 30, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Among those who said they plan to make resolutions, the overwhelming majority, 91 percent, remain relatively confident they will keep their resolutions:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Younger Americans are more likely than their elders to be making resolutions for 2022. Sixty-four percent (64%) of those under 40 say they\u2019ll make New Year\u2019s resolutions, compared to just 33% of Americans ages 40-64 and 26% of those 65 and older. However, just 43% of those under 40 say it\u2019s Very Likely they\u2019ll keep their resolutions, compared to 51% of Americans 40-64 and 45% of those 65 and older.<\/p>\n<p>Women under 40 are most likely to be making New Year\u2019s resolutions, with 74% saying yes, while a majority (56%) of men 40 and older won\u2019t make resolutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>More Democrats (53%) than Republicans (42%) or those not affiliated with either major party (37%) plan to make resolutions for 2022, but slightly more Republicans think it\u2019s Very Likely they\u2019ll keep their resolutions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey, taken December 27-28, 2021, among 1,000 U.S. adults, has a margin of error of +\/- 3 percent. It <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/29\/poll-plurality-of-americans-say-they-are-worse-off-financially-than-one-year-ago\/\">coincides<\/a> with another Rasmussen Reports survey released this week, which found roughly one-third of Americans expressing the belief that their financial situation will be \u201cworse\u201d one year from now, well into the second year of Biden\u2019s presidency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Less than half of Americans are making New Year\u2019s resolutions, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found.
