Kathy Hochul (D) this month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/11\/new-york-issues-ultimatum-businesses-check-patrons-vaccination-status-require-masks\/\">issued<\/a> an ultimatum to businesses, requiring them to either check the vaccination status of patrons or implement a sweeping mask mandate. However, some counties have vowed to disregard her edicts. New York City specifically \u2014 home to over 8 million New Yorkers \u2014 has even stricter mandates, as Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) has imposed vaccine requirements on city workers and private sector employees. Additionally, he recently expanded the city\u2019s vaccine passport program, the Key to NYC Pass, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/06\/bill-de-blasios-ultimatum-parents-get-your-child-vaccinated-or-cannot-go-indoor-restaurants\/\">applying<\/a> to children as young as five.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is something that is going to keep kids safe and families safe. Go get your child vaccinated. As long as they\u2019ve gotten that first dose by December 14, they can continue to participate [in] indoor dining, entertainment, all these great things,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/06\/bill-de-blasios-ultimatum-parents-get-your-child-vaccinated-or-cannot-go-indoor-restaurants\/\">said<\/a> as he made the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Days before Christmas, D.C.
