(Photo by SAM YEH\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ricchetti is the sole lobbyist working on the account.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>According to CNBC, \u201cRicchetti has seen a wave of new clients since the start of the new administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He made national headlines last year after lobbying the White House on behalf of&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/12\/26\/jeff-ricchetti-to-lobby-for-amazon-as-brother-becomes-joe-bidens-counselor.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a>&nbsp;and large health care&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/04\/21\/jjoe-biden-senior-advisers-brother-admits-lobbying-white-house-for-big-health-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">companies<\/a>&nbsp;like GlaxoSmithKline, Horizon Therapeutics, and Vaxart Inc. However, in light of Ricchetti\u2019s connection to the Biden administration, he said he does not lobby his brother or disclose the two\u2019s relationship to his clients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do not lobby my brother and I have not even mentioned to him the names of clients that I currently represent,\u201d he&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/04\/21\/biden-advisor-brother-jeff-ricchetti-lobbied-white-house-on-behalf-of-health-care-firms.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;in April. \u201cFor the better part of the last thirty years I have lobbied members of Congress and their staff, and various individuals who have served in the successive administrations. It is what I do for a living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ricchetti also said he would no longer engage directly with White House officials on behalf of his clients.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff and his brother Steve started a lobbying firm in 1996 but&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/washington-lobbyists-know-biden-wellas-their-former-boss-11605522603\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sold<\/a>&nbsp;it to Tony Podesta in 1999 after Steve became deputy chief of staff in the Clinton White House.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>White House counselor Steve Ricchetti\u2019s brother, Jeff Ricchetti, plans to lobby on behalf of a foreign company that developed a vaccine for the coronavirus.
