The young child went missing from a playground at her apartment complex.<\/p>\n<p>Police officials say Lina Sardar Khil, disappeared from a playground near her family\u2019s apartment complex in northwest San Antonio on December 20, KENS CBS5 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kens5.com\/article\/news\/local\/amber-alert-san-antonio-taken-playground-apartment-lina-sardar-khil\/273-b4551eb1-8f45-4277-9232-6ed22021503f\">reported<\/a>. (FBI Flyer)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe are not treating this as an abduction right now,\u201d San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told reporters. \u201cWe are treating it as a missing person. The longer the time lapses, the less hopeful we become.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lina disappeared around 5 p.m. on December 20 from a playground located in an apartment complex where her family lived. Officials issued an Amber Alert shortly after the girl went missing.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Since that time, local search and rescue teams and FBI investigators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kens5.com\/article\/news\/local\/lina-khil-still-missing-as-massive-search-for-san-antonio-girl-continues-seeks-volunteers\/273-b315652c-1649-43d6-9737-771cfbabd1ea\">joined the effort<\/a> to find the girl.<\/p>\n<p>The local CBS affiliate identified the girl\u2019s family as having moved to the United States from Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat tore up my heart the most is that this baby\u2019s family came here to be safe and now she is missing,\u201d Search and Rescue SATX member Nina Glass told KENS.<\/p>\n<p>A reward of more than $150,000 has been raised in an effort to find information about the little girl\u2019s whereabouts., the <em>Daily Mail<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10350041\/San-Antonio-police-continue-search-missing-Afghan-girl-3.html?ito=social-facebook&amp;fbclid=IwAR2UMnwwlGZcg4E3weiw1glq0BZXX7buQvRR0XboKI6XKZx4xcbCTUfS7zw\">reported<\/a>. The Islamic Center of San Antonio ($100,000) and Crime Stoppers of San Antonio ($50,000) teamed up to provide the reward.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI flyer states Lina was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red dress, and black shoes. She is described as having straight shoulder-length hair. Police say Lina is four feet tall and weighs approximately 55 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Officials request anyone with information about Lina\u2019s disappearance contact the San Antonio Police Department at 210-207-7660.
