The tweet itself reads, \u201cHow did Fauci\u2019s sister publish a book on Omicron in the same week Omicron was supposedly \u2018discovered\u2019?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But, contrary to the tweet\u2019s claim, Anthony Fauci does not have a sister named Angelique. His only sibling is his sister Denise Scorce, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/CRECB-2007-pt27\/html\/CRECB-2007-pt27-Pg36362-3.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transcript<\/a> of a 2007 tribute to him and an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/labs\/pmc\/articles\/PMC1994641\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> about him available on the National Library of Medicine website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNIAID confirms that Dr. Fauci\u2019s sister did not write a book about the Omicron variant,\u201d the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which Anthony Fauci heads, confirmed to Check Your Fact via email. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/17\/fact-check-christine-grady-fauci-wife-acting-head-food-drug-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Image Claims Christina Grady Is The Acting Head Of The FDA)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/webcache.googleusercontent.com\/search?q=cache:https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Omicron-other-Covid-19-Variants-Vaccines\/dp\/B09M9YM1F4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dec. 1 Google Cache screenshot<\/a> of the book in question\u2019s Amazon page lists it as being \u201cindependently published\u201d on Nov. 27, the day after the World Health Organization (WHO) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/28-11-2021-update-on-omicron\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">designated<\/a> the omicron variant of coronavirus as a \u201cvariant of concern.\u201d It <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Omicron-other-Covid-19-Variants-Vaccines\/dp\/B09M9YM1F4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no longer appears to be available<\/a> on Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur store maintains content guidelines and we remove products that do not adhere to these guidelines.
