(AP Photo\/Craig Ruttle, File)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">People line up and receive test kits to detect COVID-19 as they are distributed in New York on Dec. 23, 2021 (AP Photo\/Craig Ruttle, File).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>An article early Thursday morning on the <em>Washington Post<\/em>\u2018s homepage&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/health\/2021\/12\/29\/covid-test-accuracy\/\">slammed<\/a> Biden for \u201caltered guidance\u201d and \u201cambiguous research findings\u201d in an article titled \u201cCoronavirus risk calculations get harder as a study suggests rapid tests may be less effective at detecting omicron\u201d:<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"font-copy font--article-body gray-darkest ma-0 pb-md\">The altered guidance, ambiguous research findings and continuing unknowns about omicron \u2014 and, perhaps most of all, the overwhelming desire after two years of a pandemic to return to normal life \u2014 have left people once again in the predicament of making personal risk calculations that may be not terribly better than wild guesses.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden has promised to distribute 500 million rapid tests to the American public,\u201d&nbsp;<em>WaPo<\/em>&nbsp;continued,&nbsp;highlighting&nbsp;the highly in demand but contractually&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/29\/omicron-chaos-biden-waits-sign-contracts-500-million-test-kits\/\">unapproved<\/a>&nbsp;tests kits Biden advertised last week.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<div>In an article titled \u201cCovid-19 Rapid Test Shortages Seen Compounded by Slow Federal Action,\u201d the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> reported Biden has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/covid-19-rapid-test-shortages-seen-compounded-by-slow-federal-action-11640860212\">failed<\/a> to deliver enough testing kits nearly two years since the federal government ramped up personal protective equipment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cNearly two years into the pandemic, people&nbsp;have struggled to find tests&nbsp;during the holiday season as infections surge again, fueled by the highly infectious Omicron variant,\u201d the <em>Journal<\/em> wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The publication additionally suggested Biden\u2019s failure to prepare for a fresh coronavirus strain was due to bureaucratic red tape. \u201cThe relatively strict review process is part of a broader failure by U.S. officials and manufacturers to make and distribute enough rapid tests to&nbsp;track the pandemic adequately,\u201d the <em>Journal<\/em> analyzed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>News York Times<\/em>&nbsp;reported the lack of testing capability in a piece entitled \u201cAs At-Home Tests Surge, Doubts Rise About Accuracy of Public Covid Counts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The article primarily&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/12\/30\/us\/at-home-rapid-covid-tests-cases.html\">criticized<\/a>&nbsp;Biden for a lack of at-home tests and the \u201cmagnifying questions about how best to measure the spread of the virus.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201c[W]ith the Omicron variant fueling a rapid surge in positive cases, states are finding that they can\u2019t keep up,\u201d the <em>Times<\/em> reported before noting the unavailability \u201cof at-home tests is wreaking havoc with the accuracy of official positivity rates and case counts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The establishment media\u2019s notice of Biden\u2019s failed response comes as the <em>Los Angeles Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2021-12-29\/with-omicron-exploding-officials-urge-caution-in-coming-days\">plastered<\/a>&nbsp;on its Thursday\u2019s homepage, \u201cNew coronavirus cases top 16,000 in L.A. County, among highest of pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The article&nbsp;admitted Biden\u2019s response to the pandemic did not prevent last week\u2019s infection caseload from exceeding the all-time high surge of last winter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[T]he nationwide average number of daily cases over the last week has climbed beyond 277,000, exceeding the peak of 160,000 during the summer Delta surge and the all-time high of 250,000 reported last winter,\u201d the article read.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Biden administration has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/30\/joe-biden-denies-monoclonal-antibody-treatments-as-states-experience-shortages\/\">ignored<\/a> the demand for&nbsp;monoclonal antibody treatments.
