Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) slammed President Joe Biden over his economic policies.<\/p>\n<p>During a Wednesday interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/democratic-lockdowns-supply-chain-issues-crenshaw\">Fox Business<\/a>, the lawmaker pinned Biden\u2019s economic failures on COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions forwarded by Democrats:<\/p>\n<p>This is, again, a reason to note the failures of this administration, because why do we have inflation in the first place? Well, its Democrat lockdowns primarily. Democrat lockdowns caused permanent disruptions to our supply chains and production capabilities. That\u2019s what\u2019s happening right now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then as soon as Biden took office, they passed a multi-trillion-dollar plan that increased inflation furthermore by boosting the demand side without doing anything that deals with the supply side. Again, the long list of failures goes on and on with the border, with Afghanistan, with inflation, with attack on our American energy. It\u2019s frustrating to everybody.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/business\/us-economic-recovery-coronavirus\">Back-To-Normal Index<\/a> \u2014 a CNN Business and Moody\u2019s Analytics project that is tracking states\u2019 recoveries from COVID-19 and the lockdown-induced recession \u2014 reveals that states with zealous virus mitigation policies are lagging in economic growth. New York currently bottoms out the list, while South Dakota \u2014 which never enacted lockdowns \u2014 currently leads the list.<\/p>\n<p>In March \u2014 when the economy was already nearing a full recovery \u2014 Biden approved the $1.9 trillion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/comparing-trump-and-bidens-covid-relief-bills\">American Rescue Plan<\/a>. During an August interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-bidenomics-issues-every-american-should-know-about-kevin-brady-on-unemployment-taxes-and-inflation\">The Daily Wire<\/a>, Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) \u2014 the Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which is responsible for deliberating taxes and other fiscal policy measures \u2014 said that the legislation\u2019s $300-per-week enhanced federal unemployment insurance contributed to persistent labor shortages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s certainly slowing our recovery and contributing to both slower deliveries and higher prices all up and down the supply chain,\u201d he said. \u201cCompanies of all sizes simply can\u2019t find the workers they need, whether they\u2019re retailers, restaurateurs, or production lines \u2014 this is inevitable when you pay four out of ten Americans more to stay home than to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, child tax credits \u2014 which continue to this day \u2014 are \u201cdivorced from work\u201d for the first time. \u201cThat\u2019s not a requirement for getting it, and so you\u2019re seeing this barrier begin to impact businesses,\u201d Brady continued. \u201cI think the point here is that the federal government is sending a seemingly never-ending supply of checks, regardless of whether you work or not. You\u2019re going to have economic problems, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re seeing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe time for emergency spending is over, and Washington cannot become the \u2018Olive Garden\u2019 of never-ending government checks, which is now becoming expected by too many Americans,\u201d Brady added, noting the danger of further government social spending.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the various economic crises impacting the United States, President Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-lauds-strongest-first-year-economic-track-record-of-any-president-in-50-years-in-bizarre-tweet-despite-economic-crises\">insisted<\/a> on social media that his economic track record is the \u201cstrongest\u201d of any Commander-in-Chief in the past half-century.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re ending 2021 with what one analyst described as the strongest first-year economic track record of any president in the last 50 years,\u201d Biden wrote. \u201cLet\u2019s keep the progress going.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden made a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-claims-economy-today-is-stronger-than-before-pandemic\">argument<\/a> last week.
