The survey was conducted this week.<\/p>\n<p>More than half of the respondents said inflation is their biggest worry for 2022. Thirty percent said the Federal Reserve raising rates at the wrong time is their top concern, while 17% said the economic impact of a lingering pandemic is their No. 1 worry.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, 55% of investors expect that the stock market will rise by less than 10% next year. Meanwhile, 10% of investors expect the stock market to remain flat, and 18% expect increases between 10% and 20%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, rising price levels are driving investors toward the stock market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile inflation is a concern and source of volatility, it also makes stocks the most compelling choice among the major asset classes,\u201d BlackRock executive Tony DeSpirito explained. \u201cIndividual companies will manage through differently, highlighting the importance of a stock-by-stock approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index \u2014 which the Federal Reserve uses to chart monetary policy decisions \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-feds-favorite-inflation-measure-hits-three-decade-high\">hit<\/a> a year-over-year rate of 4.1% in October. More recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-inflation-skyrockets-to-6-8-higher-than-expected-fastest-rate-in-nearly-40-years\">revealed<\/a> that the Consumer Price Index is rising at a 6.8% clip \u2014 the largest year-over-year increase since June 1982.<\/p>\n<p>Inflation \u2014 the decline in purchasing power that occurs as more dollars chase the same number of goods \u2014 threatens to slash Americans\u2019 wealth. For instance, the Penn Wharton Budget Model \u2014 a nonpartisan public policy research initiative at the University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Wharton School \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/thanks-to-inflation-the-typical-american-family-took-a-3500-hit-this-year\">found<\/a> that current inflation trends require the average American household to spend around $3,500 more in 2021 to attain the same level of consumption as in previous years.<\/p>\n<p>Although wages are rising, price levels are rising faster, placing pressure on the budgets of American workers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/as-inflation-soars-americans-real-wages-decline\">announced<\/a> that \u201creal average hourly earnings\u201d \u2014 a metric that considers the impact of inflation on purchasing power \u2014 fell by 0.4% between October and November. Though nominal average hourly earnings rose by 0.3%, the effects were overshadowed by a 0.8% increase in consumer prices.<\/p>\n<p>A recent Fox Business poll shows that a plurality of American voters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/voters-have-low-expectations-for-bidens-economic-management-pollster\">blame<\/a> President Joe Biden for the challenges facing the American economy. 47% of respondents believe that Biden\u2019s actions are \u201churting\u201d the situation, while only 22% believe they are \u201chelping.\u201d Likewise, 46% believe that Biden\u2019s social spending plan would \u201cpush inflation higher,\u201d while 21% believe it would \u201chelp lower inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
