Text in this particular Facebook image reads, \u201cOne of the military field camps of the Russian armed forces. The personnel sends warm greetings to the optical reconnaissance satellites of the \u2018partners\u2019 from the US and NATO. The message says \u2018Dick.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A reverse image search revealed the picture has been digitally altered to make it look like the vehicles spelled out a crass word in Cyrillic. The original photo was taken in November 2021 by the satellite imagery company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxar.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maxar Technologies<\/a>, which shared it with news outlets such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/11\/01\/satellite-russia-ukraine-military-518337\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politico<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/flashpoints\/2021\/11\/10\/russian-troop-movements-show-wider-conflict-is-possible-top-ukraine-official-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Military Times<\/a>. In the original satellite image, the rows of the Russian vehicles do not appear to form any word.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis satellite image from Nov. 1, 2021 shows tanks and other military equipment in Yelnya, Russia.
