Andrew Cuomo will not face any charges over alleged inappropriate conduct investigated by the Westchester County District Attorney\u2019s Office, according to an announcement Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The decision came after a \u201cthorough\u201d investigation into allegations made by two women against Cuomo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westchesterda.net\/december-2021\/6740-statement-from-district-attorney-rocah-on-andrew-cuomo-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the announcement. Both women accused the former governor of kissing them without their consent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur investigation found credible evidence to conclude that the alleged conduct in both instances described above did occur,\u201d the announcement said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, in both instances, my Office has determined that, although the allegations and witnesses were credible, and the conduct concerning, we cannot pursue criminal charges due to the statutory requirements of the criminal laws of New York,\u201d it said. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/01\/chris-andrew-cuomo-cnn-anderson-cooper-letitia-james\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Cuomo Suspension Left Anderson Cooper Blindsided As He\u2019s Forced To Fill Missing Hour)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7325215\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7325215\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">New York Attorney General Letitia James presents the findings of an independent investigation into accusations by multiple women that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed them on August 3, 2021 in New York City. Cuomo <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/10\/cuomo-announces-resignation-following-ag-sexual-harassment-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resigned<\/a> from office in August after a report from New York Attorney General Letitia James found he sexually harassed 11 women, CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/12\/28\/politics\/andrew-cuomo-westchester-county-no-charges\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo also faced criticism for his March 25 directive ordering New York <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/24\/cuomo-nursing-home-order-anniversary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nursing homes<\/a> to accept COVID-positive patients. A November report from the New York State Assembly found Cuomo <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/22\/andrew-cuomo-personally-edited-undercounted-nursing-home-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">personally edited<\/a> a July 2020 Department of Health report that undercounted nursing home deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Chis Cuomo, the former governor\u2019s brother, was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/04\/cnn-fires-chris-cuomo-andrew-cuomo-sexual-assault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fired<\/a> from his position at CNN in early December for his involvement in covering up his brother\u2019s sexual assault case.<\/p>\n<p>The former CNN host, before being fired, was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/30\/cnn-suspends-chris-cuomo-indefinitely-allegations-sexual-assault-andrew\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suspended<\/a>&nbsp;after the New York Attorney General\u2019s office released transcripts that showed a \u201cgreater level of involvement in his brother\u2019s efforts\u201d than CNN previously understood.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
