The man was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Monday\u2019s gun violence came on the heels of Christmas weekend in which 22 people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/27\/22-shot-over-christmas-weekend-in-lori-lightfoots-chicago\/\">were shot<\/a> and two of the shooting victims succumbed to their wounds.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>On December 3, 3021, AXIOS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/chicago\/2021\/12\/03\/2021-violence-stats-worst-nearly-30-years-chicago\">reported<\/a> 770 homicides occurred in Chicago January 1, 2021, through November.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Sun-Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.suntimes.com\/crime\/2021\/12\/16\/22840108\/800-homicides-crime-violence-shooting\">noted<\/a> that Chicago registered its 800th homicide for the year on December 14, 2021,&nbsp;when 23-year-old&nbsp;Sheridan Freeman was shot dead inside a home in West Pullman.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">&nbsp;Two days after Freeman\u2019s death WBEZ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbez.org\/stories\/chicago-has-exceeded-800-homicides-in-2021\/f5518836-b3a2-490f-8cf3-ca503b6640ba\">observed<\/a> Chicago hit 812 homicides for the year.<\/div>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">ABC News <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/chicago-ends-2020-769-homicides-gun-violence-surges-75005949\">noted<\/a> that Chicago witnessed \u201c769 homicides\u201d in 2020, an increase of 274 homicides over 2019.<\/div>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\"><em>AWR Hawkins is an award-winning Second Amendment columnist for Breitbart News<\/em><em>&nbsp;and the writer\/curator of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/downrange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Down Range with AWR Hawkins<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em><em>a weekly newsletter focused o<\/em><em>n al<\/em><em>l things Second Amendment, also for Breitbart News.
