This latest round of funding will deliver critical public safety resources, helping public safety professionals, victim service providers, local agencies and nonprofit organizations confront these serious challenges.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the grants is the Justice Assistance Grant program (JAG), which will split up more than $271.9 million between 56 state law enforcement agencies and 900 cities and counties. The money could fund programs like \u201cmultijurisdictional drug and gang task forces, crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, justice information sharing initiatives, or other programs aimed at reducing crime and\/or enhancing public\/officer safety,\u201d the program\u2019s description states.<\/p>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\">CNN admitted after more than a year of covering for the Marxist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/the-media\/2020\/08\/27\/nolte-actual-cnn-chyron-reads-fiery-mostly-peaceful-protests-kenosha\/\">Black Lives Matter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/06\/06\/us\/what-is-defund-police-trnd\/index.html\">Defund the Police<\/a> movements:<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>The grants follow a tumultuous period for cities, many of which struggled with protests last year in the wake of the murder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/06\/24\/us\/minneapolis-police-chief-comment-george-floyd-trnd\/index.html\">George Floyd<\/a>. In response to the protests, lawmakers in some cities like San Francisco, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and New York City proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/02\/politics\/minneapolis-defund-police-results\/index.html\">cutting back<\/a> on their police departments\u2019 budgets to redirect the funds into other community programs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the report, Seattle and Chicago have both been awarded large chunks of money, $771,127 and $2,407,095. Notably, Seattle has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/seattle-city-council-defunds-the-police-again-11638572886\">repeatedly slashed<\/a> its policing budget, and Chicago has already had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/17\/over-800-homicides-year-to-date-in-mayor-lori-lightfoots-chicago\/\">more than 800 homicides<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\">\n<p><span>\u201cPhiladelphia is eligible for $1,499,662; Baltimore can receive $1,364,052; New York City is eligible for $4,095,916 and Los Angeles may collect $2,692,835,\u201d the report continues. Both New York City and Los Angeles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/01\/defunding-police-movement-dwindling-crime-surges-u-s-cities\/\">caved<\/a> to the Defund the Police agenda during the summer of 2020.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hennepin County in Minneapolis, which is where four police officers were charged in connection with George Floyd\u2019s murder, was awarded $590,659.
