In a video posted online, when the Amazon device was asked for a \u201cchallenge,\u201d Alexa replied: \u201cThe challenge is simple: plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs,\u201d tempting the child to electrocute herself.<\/p>\n<p>Indy100 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indy100.com\/viral\/alexa-echo-outlet-challenge-reactions-twitter-b1982848\">reports<\/a>&nbsp;that a woman named Kristin Livdahl recently posted a story about her Amazon Alexa home assistant to Twitter. However, this shows the dangers of allowing the devices to grab information from any random online source and then spew it out to a child using the device.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Users on Twitter were quick to note why this was an issue, with one user stating:&nbsp;\u201cCompanies should really know better than to put unfiltered question answering systems live on the internet. Google does this in their summaries too, and they similarly have shocking\/dangerous results like this periodically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others joked about the situation,&nbsp;\u201cI suspected Alexa was evil. Just didn\u2019t suspect Alexa was this evil,\u201d another user wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon Help appeared to notice Livdahl\u2019s issue on Twitter and responded to her tweet:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hi there.
