(AP Photo\/Carolyn Kaster)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>\nUPDATED 9:25 AM PT \u2013 Wednesday, February 3, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2020\/dec\/18\/nso-group-microsoft-biden-whatsapp-cyber-attack\">reportedly<\/a> accepted donations from a spyware company, which targeted journalists and human rights activists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/efile.fara.gov\/docs\/6170-Supplemental-Statement-20210129-16.pdf\">FARA filings<\/a> show the 2020 Biden campaign took money from lobbyist John Gallagher who represents the company Q Cyber Technologies, which is also known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsogroup.com\/\">NSO Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>NSO Group deployed Pegasus spyware back in 2019, which breached the privacy of 1,400 users on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/?lang=en\">WhatsApp<\/a>. This included political leaders, diplomats and reporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NSO Group in today\u2019s world, based on the evidence we have, they are the worst of the worst in selling these burglary tools that are being actively, currently used to violate the human rights of dissidents, opposition figures, activists\u2026to some pretty bad players,\u201d explained National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">John Gallagher represented Q Cyber Technologies Ltd (a\/k\/a NSO Group Technologies Ltd.), an Israeli firm that makes spyware that has been used to target journalists &amp; human-rights activists. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/kzUHfEiGFy\">https:\/\/t.co\/kzUHfEiGFy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kenneth P.
